Running and walking are so much fun and so healthy for me and my human, aka Mom. We have a special bond which is only made stronger through our morning runs or walks. Both of us look forward to the morning every day, even on days when we only have time for a short walk.
For about eight months out of the year, we run in the morning, Monday – Friday. This is the first year we run alone. Before this year, Bailie would run with me and Mom every other day, and Madison on the days Bailie didn’t run. Because they both have some arthritis things going on, they are no longer running. Nelson would like to run but Mom says he is just to crazy and strong. It would be dangerous for him to come along but next year we may give it a try.
Speaking of Nelson, I don’t walk with him very often because the two of us are so wild. When we travel is probably the most we walk together. The two of us have a lot of fun together…at Mom’s expense sometimes. She says it makes for good resistance training for her body. Loose leash walking isn’t something Mom cares much about, thus we often pull or lunge and she has to deal with that.
When I do walk with Mom in the morning, on weekends or in the winter, we have a lot of fun. It is the same kind of bonding we get from running the other days. Sometimes we practice things like jumping up on tree stumps and sitting on them. I think it is fun and sometimes it makes for good photos. Walking clears both of our minds, and relieves stress too.
Mom and I do both our running and walking pretty fast. We challenge each other to race uphill when running and when just walking we do more speed walking. It probably burns more calories and we can go further in a shorter amount of time. Both of us like to do pretty much everything in life in a speedy fashion. Hopefully it won’t get us into any trouble! We both look forward to many more years of fun runs and walks together in the morning. What a Grand way to start the day.

Mom is not a jogger or a runner so I have never had this experience but we agree that it would be a great way to start the day!
I love walking and running, but Mom and I make a really good running team.
Getting out in the morning for a run or even just a walk is always a grand way to start the day (a petit way as well!).
It really gets the day off to a good start. After walking/running and having breakfast, we all crash in our home office and Mom works. That works well for everyone too.
Olivia- you have a wonderful mom that takes you on such wonderful adventures.Β
Mom and I have a very special bond.
Well, Olivia, You sure got ME stumped! Madison and Bailie may well benefit from a product called Rejenease Glucosamine. It is a liquid that needs to be refrigerated after opening, but your mom and sisters will see/feel results in just a few weeks (or sooner). Mom used with Chablis, our predecessor and has recommended it to a number of hound friends who have also recommended it to others. She started it with Olive and me early (5 & 8 years old) and we feel better especially in this cloudy/rainy/ chilly weather that has hit us this week. It can be used on any age. Good luck! Mom may have started the whole thing as Katie used it for several years before she passed. Nothing else helped her but Rejenease made a big difference. In just a couple weeks her limp disappeared. Bailie has been taking it for maybe a year now. It is an amazing product and Mom is so happy to have had the opportunity to review it in January 2015. Supplements don’t all work the same in different breeds but Rejeanease seems to work for Kuvasz and GBGV’s. Madison doesn’t need it right now as her treatment plan is working perfect for her but Mom knows some day we may all need some Rejeanease. It is a wonder supplement.
Hmmmm, I need to talk to Mama about the whole running in the morning thing….Daddy and I like to do running at night, but Mama looks at the scenery too much to run.
We agree, you and your Mom make a great team!

If running at night works, that is great, but it is easier to skip because there are so many more excuses. Our mom is focused on her run and doesn’t see the scenery much. Now it is dark when we run, so there really isn’t much to see, LOL!
Ohhhh I like Mom’s walking Olivia shoes
Hugs Cecilia
Brooks are Mom’s favorite walking and running shoes.
I’m glad your mom has her walking partners and her running partner.
She is glad too. Humans are not as reliable and they are picky about what they do. We are usually game for whatever she has planned.
You and your Mom sure have a good time on your walks and that’ s so wonderful for you both! Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop and thank you for the well wishes for our sweet Brian.
We are thankful we have each other for walking and running.
Sounds like the two of you are ‘pawfect’ walking mates!
We think so, but Mom says we are a nightmare because we are too strong and wild.
You word press posters are making it difficult to post comments and I am not a fan of FB ~ but love your dogs ~ they are precious ~
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

I’m sorry. We are having terrible trouble with blogger for over a week now. We have to use a different browser and had to create a blogger account or we couldn’t comment on most blogger blogs. It is sad they make it all so difficult.
