Tis the season of orange and that means it is my time of year. Mom says I am a “fall” color palette and for that reason she chose orange to be my color. I have to admit, my furs look great with anything orange. This week we went to Pahl’s Market to see what fall stuff they have. I got to go four years ago, when I was a puppy, for the first time and it was fun!
Every October, Mom takes one of us here to check out the pumpkins, mums, and other fall decorations. The original plan was to go to a pumpkin patch. Sadly, most of the ones we love are now housing developments, and the others are no longer dog friendly. Pahl’s Market is remodeling but they still have lots of fall/Halloween things for us to check out.
Inside the greenhouse they have shelf after shelf of mums in all kinds of colors and some daisy plants too. I was able to squeeze in between two pots on the lower shelf for this photo.
Walking along, we came across the tables full of Indian Corn in all sizes and colors. I am not sure what people would do with this stuff, it is hard as rocks. Mom says we are not allowed to chew on corn cobs, so it is not for me at all.
I came across even more pumpkins. It would be fun to know if they have any leftover at the end of the month or if they sell out.
Around the corner, we came upon the orange mum section, and then more mums in other colors as far as we could see. Need mums or pumpkins? Come here, they have plenty!
In a different greenhouse, I found some goofy looking gourds on a table and really cute pumpkin flower pots on the shelves. Maybe the gourds would look better piled into one of the cute pumpkin pots? Maybe they could hire me to help get things organized in a more appealing way?
They sell corn stalks and other such decorations in this other greenhouse. Mom and I like the “sets” they have which are perfect for photos of me. Can you see me in these photos with all the orange? There is no hiding the season of orange time of year with Halloween coming up.
These metal scarecrow guys behind me are super cute. With the weather not being very good, the place was not too busy, so we had the place mostly to ourselves. Some parents brought little humans but they were all stuck in a corn pit. It’s nice to not be in a crowd!
Here is one more fun display I could not pass by without a photo. Happy Halloween is the theme here for sure. We are not doing much Halloween decorating so no need to buy any of the items. Taking some photos will be good enough. Mom says we may not even get pumpkins this year because Nelson wants to chew on them. He can be so weird. Hope you enjoyed my visit to Pahl’s market!
Iβm joining my friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard for their Nature Friday blog hop.
What fabulous photos of you with everything Autumn, Olivia, and you do look great with orange and all of those fun pumpkins!
Orange is truly my color. I love one on one outings with my mom too!
it is… and it is so beautiful… pumpkins and this mums… a feast for the eyes…
Lots of spooky beauty in those greenhouses and outside as well.
Orange is defined your color. You look beautiful in those pictures
Thank you. Orange and I are perfect.
Oh Yes! Orange is as perfect a color for you as red was for my beloved Ducky! (Almost everything I bought for her had at least some red in it.) Orange really does bring out the gorgeous colors of your furs!! And I know you all – and your Mom – enjoy your one-on-one time with your Mom!
One on one time is wonderful and we all cherish it.
Olivia I’m with you I love orange in all areas of my day. When I was young(er) my hair had just enough red in it to make me look very pale in orange BUT Now I’m gray and Orange is in my wardrobe.
Hugs Cecilia
Mom loves orange too. She likes bright colors, so she already had a lot of orange to wear before I arrived.
Olivia I love orange in my daily life. I had just enough red in my hair as a young person that it did not look very good on me. Now I’m mostly gray and I have lots in my wardrobe
Hugs Cecilia
PS I hope you don’t get this twice. First comment disappeared
I did get it twice. I don’t know what comments are doing but they usually come through.
Well Olivia, you do indeed blend nicely with all that orange stuff. Obviously, you would make a great job oforganising the displays better, and we think you could earn $$$$s doing just that!
Gail and I are wondering what is sold at Pahl’s market during the other months of the year?
Toodle-oo!
Nobby.
They sell all kinds of flowers for every season, they also have a market area with their home grown vegetables and various seasonal decorations. They are open all year and have items for the whole year.
You look so beautiful with the Fall colors! We definitely get why you are Team Orange!
xoxo,
Sunny & Rosy
It is truly my color and Mom says it also means look out as orange means caution and I am one to watch out for in my sports, LOL!
What delightful photos our mom captured of you at the pumpkin patch! Orange-you glad they let you in to visit? I think you should still get pumpkins. Nelson has to learn sometime; and maybe he can do some carving with his teeth? Pumpkin is good for dogs. It is one of our favorite flavors! Your Grand friends, Jimmy & Olive
We will see if we get pumpkins or not. Mom isn’t sure she wants to deal with them again this year.
You look lovely amongst all the orange and the beautiful flowers.
WordPress not only won’t let me change blog titles, now it is logging me in with the wrong name!
Memories of Eric and Flynn.
Those are similar issues to what we are dealing with on Blogger. I don’t know what all changed in the last week or two. It is crazy!
We love those pictures. And we love the fall fruits and vegetables!!! Our Mom is sad that most people just us a pumpkin as a decoration then throw it out at the end of the season; then they go get pumpkin in a can!!!! Nelson has a good idea to eat some…..
Mom doesn’t want to figure out how to use the real pumpkin insides, so we probably won’t get pumpkins this year as she feels it is a waste, but we will see.
What a glorious celebration of Autumn !
Thank you. It is a wonderful place to go.
You’re the prettiest pumpkin patch pup ever!
Thank you π
That was a fun visit and yes, you do look good in orange.
Nelson may be onto something, pumpkin is actually supposed to be good for dogs.
Sometimes we get pumpkin in our food or in our Kongs. We like it.
Orange is definitely your color and autumn looks especially furbulous on you!
Thank you. I’m a fall dog.
