Nelson is deep into the fall leaves! I spent most of my day yesterday outside in the backyard. My sisters came out several times to see what I was up to. The best fun was when my neighboring girlfriends, came out to race the fence with me. It’s a lot of fun racing through the crunchy leaves!
Mom says she has to mow over all the leaves in the coming days because things are getting a bit deep. Some of the trees still have leaves which is why we are waiting so long. Right now we have a lot of golden tone leaves.
If I go to the back of the yard, I find more of the red leaves. The red leaf trees are the ones being slow about losing their leaves. Despite having had cold, frost, and snow, we still have green grass under the leaf blanket.
All the racing around seems to make my head furs stand up straight. Mom finds it funny when it happens to us.

Playing in the leaves is so much fun and you have more of them than I do, Nelson. Mom keeps raking them to keep up so they don’t overwhelm her all at once!
Mom doesn’t like raking, so we will mow them down this week. While they are there, we will keep playing in them.
how wonderful! our leaves are super wet and no longer funny… but yours look fantabulous…
They are dry now because we haven’t had much rain and had a lot of wind.

Leaves are crunchy and hold smells and are grand to play in! Nelson, your pictures are perfect for the season.
