Today I’m thankful for toasty warm sunpuddles. We spent the past six months or so trying to stay cool because it was a really hot and long summer. Now we are in the other boat. Yes, we all love the cooler and cold weather, but after being out in it for a while, it is nice to come inside and warm up. Sunpuddles are perfect for this.
Our home office is south facing. This time of year the sun comes in all morning. We girls move around our napping spots so we can stay in the warm, sunny places. Nelson prefers to be out of the sun. Guys seem to be different as he doesn’t like to sleep in bed either. He prefers the bedroom floor on the carpet or the bathroom tile floor.
Mom finds the sun this time of year to be a problem as it shines into her face and makes it hard to work on her computer. On the other paw, she too likes the warm feeling the sunshine provides. I wish you all toasty warm sunpuddles this winter to keep you from being cold too.

Those sunpuddles do feel wonderful when it’s cold outside!
This is the time of year we start to really love them.
we love sunpuddles… but we can not find them this times…
This is the best time of year to find them at our house and we love them.
I love sun puddles and so does Clover.
Mom likes them too when it is cold out.
Those ‘sun puddles’ are a treasure to our fur babies ~ cozy photos of you sweet doggie Xo

Thank you. We all enjoy them on cool or cold days.
We agree…There is nothing like a warm sun puddle on a chilly day!

It feels so good and it is ideal for napping too.
I am thankful for that beautiful close up

Thank you. I don’t mind being disturbed a bit for a nice photo π
We love to find sunny places to be. Even in warm/hot weather, Zachary will lay out in the sun until he steams, then comes in to cool off!
Well, Madison is that one in our family. She lays in front of the fireplace nearly well done before Mom has to make her move. In the summer she bakes in the sun until Mom tells her to come inside. Some like it warm, some like it hot I guess.
A good reminder that we should ALL be thankful for such things !
The simple things in life are sometimes the best too!
You are so right, those sunpuddles feel so good on the furs!!! Thanks for joining Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
We are sure you kitties love them too. Cat bro Bert sure does.
Here’s to all the winter sunshine we can get.
We love winter and we love our warm sun when we come inside after being out in the cold.
Sun puddles are nice. Tylan LOVES his basket in the afternoon because it’s usually nice and sunny there in his window. We are fortunate to get 300 days of sun a year in Denver. Tylan gets sad when it’s not a sunny day.
We have lots of sunshine in Minnesota too and we just love it. A place where it is always gray and dark would not be for us.
Let’s hear it for sun puddles and cozy beds.
Being warm and cozy is wonderful.
