Nelson and I had a flurry of freezing, frosty frolicking earlier this week. The temperatures were in the single digits with an even colder windchill. We also had a bit more than a dusting of the white stuff we all love so much. As we hung out together in the yard, we decided to change into our furry, wild pants.
And, off to the races we went. I was right, tight on the little guy’s behind. He better watch out! The snow is flying with our speed, but it is also still flurrying from above.
There goes Nelson, thinking he can run away from me. I don’t think so. He is not aerodynamically built like I am.
Yikes, he is about to grab me. The bad thing about long ears is they are easy to grab!
Not so fast, buddy. I am pretty clever and I am going to outsmart you! A quick u-turn is a good move for this.
Now he is using his football moves and he has sacked me. Down I go. How am I going to get up?
I’m back up on all four paws and I’m going to grab nelson by his ears now and see how he likes it!
Maybe I can pin him down on the ground to slow his momentum.
Both of us got up and shook off for a moment. Then the chase started again. Nelson never quits. At least we stay warm during all of our frosty frolicking in the fresh snow.
How about one last good move? Nelson does the old “air grab”. He not only grabs me with his mouth, he tries to knock me over with his big body. Good thing it is all just for fun.
Of course, I manage to get myself free of the boy beast and off I go. We love the freezing, frosty frolicking weather in the winter!
I’m joining my friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard for their Nature Friday blog hop.

You are having so much fun in your snow and your long ears are the perfect thing to grab onto!
Mom says are ears come in handy as handles sometimes for her.
your eyes… fantabulous… a happy furst december to you all
Hopefully it will bring us snow as we need a lot of it around here.
A fabulous, fun, frolic in the freezing far north! SO fun to watch!
We just love it!
Just loving the commentary. And the photos of you guys having such a blast in the snow.
Thank you. We all love it, but the two of us younger ones have the most fun of all!
Hello my 3 lovely ladies and handsome Nelson.

So who won? Was it a tie?
We never really win or lose, it is all just fun stuff.
That made our Friday! We love seeing you have such a fun time out there!
You kitties might play chase and wrestle in the house. I have heard from Mom that when she had younger kitties they sometimes did that.

Not sure what was going on, but we got both comments. Thank you for the extra effort. Blogger has been naught to us for over a month now, so we have to only use Chrome to comment and some WP blogs are doing strange comment things now too. It’s always changing and hard to keep up sometimes.
Wonderful to see pictures of you two having a fun day in the snow! Bet you slept good that night!
We did. Nelson always crashes later in the day since he is the most busy, racing with his girlfriends and sisters plus his walks twice a day.
It’s definitely your time of year, we can see the happiness in every tussle!!
xoxo,
Rosy & Sunny
Now we need more snow. Paws crossed we get some fairly soon but the forecast isn’t real promising.
Your freezing frolics are fabulous!
We sure do have a lot of fun romping around in the snow!
All in good fun! Am trying to find the “word” in my head, but can’t! But so love the way the pups furs and the colors of the snow, trees, fences … it’s all so wonderfully joining together, very artful, pleasant and easy on the eyes.
The setting calm and the pups energetic … great photo story.
Thank you 🙂 We have a lot of fun inside our fenced yard!
Nothing like romping on freshly fallen snow for a good time!
Exactly. Now we need a new load of it, but it will be too warm the next week at least.
