It’s time to recap Christmas 2023! It seems like we just put up the tree and it is already about time to take it down. I love the tree. Do you know why I love to lay under it all the time? It is to remind Mom that I am a gift 🙂
Bailie baked the delicious Christmas cookies earlier this month. Mom froze some of them, so we had plenty of cookies to munch on Christmas weekend. You humans know, good food, especially snacks are important in celebrating Christmas.
We all did our Elfies, selfies taken when we pose as an elf. All our Elfies are on our Facebook page. It was a lot of fun coming up with our own ideas for our Elfies.
Christmas Eve morning, Mom surprised Olivia and Nelson with a holiday Sniff & Go. They each got one search. There were twelve hides and they had three and a half minutes to find as many as they could.
Nelson searched first. He was a bit overwhelmed by all that odor in a fairly small space. As he started to search, he saw a big stuffed dog with antlers and it startled him. Thankfully, he was able to keep his focus. He worked hard the whole time and found five of the hides.
Olivia had her turn about ten minutes later. She took off like a crazy girl as she always does. The whirlwind searched hard the entire time and found seven of the hides. Funny thing is she didn’t find three of the five Nelson found. It was a fun time for Mom, Olivia and Nelson. We don’t know if any dog found all twelve. We do know when we left most dogs missed a lot of the hides.
Bailie went to Gramma’s on Christmas Eve with Mom. When she returned, I got everything ready for Santa and his reindeer. Mom let us all go to bed early to make sure we would not be awake when Santa came by.
Holidays mean special and extra tasty meals. Christmas Eve, we had salmon for dinner, Christmas morning we had beaver with an egg, and beaver again for Christmas dinner. The meals were delicious!
Santa was very good to us all. We each got a new Furballz, but Mom says we are going to keep them packed for a bit longer until the ones we have are really dead. Each of us also got a bag of our favorite snacks or chews. As always, we will share everything with each other. Christmas morning did not disappoint.
The last day of our Advent Calendars always has the biggest surprise. This year, door twenty five had a really nice piece of chicken jerky. We all got to enjoy that on Christmas Day.
Bailie almost always gets to go to Gramma’s house. Last week I got to go one day, Bailie went Christmas Eve, and Mom chose Olivia to go on Christmas Day. Olivia says there were so many squirrels to watch, she almost lost her mind!
It’s fun to recap Christmas and remember what a special time it was. The holidays make us all happy and we hope that all our friends also had a happy and fun howliday!
My GBGV Life is happy, so we’re joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!

You guys had the bestest Christmas ever and your dinner look sooooooooooo yummy!
The food was fantastic. We love something different and I am the fish lover in the family. Everyone else likes it but I love salmon!
… and we loved sharing every day of the Christmas season with all of you … it was wonderful!
Thank you. We love seeing what June is up to. She is very busy for a condo cat 😉
Sounds like you all had a fantastic Christmas. Nice to go grandmas house for visits
It is fun and we also get that one on one time with Mom when we go.
What a lovely holiday you all had! Spot-on gifts and yummy food, and time with Gramma! We love salmon in this house, too – sometimes we have egg with our salmon. P.S. Our mom is going to make those cookies for us for New Years!!
Our cookies are all gone now. You will love them!
What a lovely time you all that planning and enjoying Christmas. You mom sure fed you well too. I’m not surprised.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches all around and a hug to your wonderful mom. ♥
We always eat raw, but she throws in different proteins now and then like beaver or salmon. It is super yummy.
OMDs Bailie, Madison, Nelson and Olivia.
I have a very serious question???? Do y’all need a nanny or a walker or does Mom need an extra pair of hands?
If so, I will submit my resume. Every single photo and commentary (especially the food) had me on the edge of my chair
Hugs Cecilia
Thank you, that is so nice of you to say. Sometimes Mom wishes she had a dog walker as she spends about three hours a day walking us but it is good exercise and she likes being with us. We don’t walk together, so it is three walks, twice a day. Our food was so yummy. We always like our food but when we get things we don’t have often, it is extra tasty.
What a fun time you sweeties had and I’m glad that Santa was so nice to you. I’ll bet you had fun at Grandma’s house too.
We each enjoyed visiting Gramma since Bailie is usually the only one who visits.
What an awesome Christmas! Well done! We ventured to our cousins house and had a blast. Even my old sister had a good time. Being 15, mom says she is strong and brave to go in the car that long and to manage a new house. Here’s to a new year! your friends Lilly and Chester
15 is a great accomplishment. As long as she wants to do things, that is great and we are so happy she got to join you and your mom!
Sounds and looks like you had a wonderful Christmas ~ delicious food and great presents and awesome photos of you sweet doggies ~ hugs,
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days

Christmas was good to us all 🙂
Wow, that was a great holiday! I’m glad Santa was so good to you and you all had such a fun time together.
Christmas was pretty good for us this year.
Hard to believe Christmas is in the rear view mirror already. Love your ‘elfie.’
Thank you. It is something we wait for for weeks and then boom, it is done.
I have to ask, where in the world do you get Beaver to eat?????????????????? I can see salmon, but beaver? In my opionion Nature’s Farms (I think that is their name) bully sticks are the BEST by far. Also extremely pricey. A bag of 10, 12 inch bullies (but they are thick) are over $70. We buy them for Levi.
We order lots of single ingredient treats and chews from Best Bully Sticks. Mom doesn’t buy us bully sticks anymore as they are so expensive and they sometimes cause blockages if we don’t chew them well enough. Most of our raw food we pick up at a ranch in a northern suburb. Mom likes to make sure we don’t get picky, so she orders other proteins from raw delivery MN, like salmon, walleye, bison, lamb, duck, rabbit, and yes, beaver. She had to give us beaver as it seemed so odd. Nelson refused it the first time, but now he loves it like the rest of us. All the healthy options for us out there are so fun to find and try.
