Who stole our winter this year? We all miss the cold and snow. The beauty the winter landscape brings is now just brown and ugly. Even the sun is avoiding us because of the warm, ugliness. How about if we look back as some past winter photos for the fun memories?
Some of the photos are not the best as Mom didn’t have a good camera, just a point and shoot until 2011 or 2012. They are still fun to have. This is a photo of Katie and Emma in 2008, their first winter in the USA. They both loved the cold and snow, especially Katie with her big fur coat.
In 2010, Emma built her first snow cave. It looks like a nice one. Can you believe our photographer mom didn’t have any snow pictures from 2009?
2011 was a pretty cold year from the looks of it. Emma is showing off her snowball beard. We all struggle with the snowballs in the winter!
Did you know Emma was in Antarctica in 2011? No, not really, but if she was, I think she would have looked similar to how she looked here. It doesn’t appear to bother her having her face frozen. Our winter this year has been too warm to freeze up.
Team Katie and Emma enjoyed a bit of a snowstorm in 2012. Man, do we miss days like this. No Minnesota winter has ever been this warm and snow free. Hopefully next year will be more normal!
Welcome, Bailie in 2013. This photo was taken after the first snow. It is amazing how much her colors have changed!
In 2016, I experienced my first winter. Bailie was there to help me figure out snow and cold. I sure looked up to my big sister, and I still do!
Olivia joined the family and found her first snow in 2019. Poor Bailie seems to be her tackle dummy. They sure were having some fun. Olivia has always had the most crazy eyes of any dog we know.
Winter 2022 brings up the rear with our little guy, Nelson. He took to snow like a fish to water. Look at that happy face as he trots through the white stuff!
As luck would have it, as I put together this post for all of you, it started to snow outside. This morning we have about four inches of heavy wet snow but we are excited for any snow! We will enjoy it but it will melt in a few days when it gets too warm again. How sad it can’t stay for a few weeks at least! Bailie is ready to clear the driveway for us if we need it, as you can see, a photo from another year. We are thankful for all the great winters we have had and we hope for more starting next year. Hope you enjoyed our little #ThrowbackThursday

The snow truly is beautiful and fun to play in. What great photos!
We like to look back at the memories and the the snow too.
you have magic powers… no doubts… can you write about winning the lottery or so?
We wish we could win the lottery, but Mom doesn’t play it, so it won’t happen.
What wonderful photos chronicling the past. Bailie’s colors may have changed, but her eyes are still the same.
Mom says she is amazed how the faces we made as pups are all so very similar.
I’m s happy for you that you got some snow. Enjoy all the running around.
We have been out a lot this morning as we are all so excited and it is really fun.
Excellent question…in all the years I have been a loyal GBGV fan have been in awe of all your snow and how well you 4 and mom adapt.
Hugs Cecilia
It is our favorite season except for this year it has been horrible. At least we have snow for a couple days.
Fond snow memory photos of you sweet doggies ~ hugs,

Thank you. Now we are making new memories with our fresh snow.
The weather sure has been topsy turny the past year or so…we are glad you are finally seeing a little bit of snow and cold today!

It is a perfect day, but the snow is already starting to melt. We will play in it as long as we have it.
That was a great look back at the snow fun! Yes, you sure didn’t have much snow times this year but there’s always next year! Thanks for joining Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Thankfully, we did get six inches Wednesday night. They will only last a few days but we are enjoying them.
I’m sorry it was a warm winter and hope you get lots more cold and snow next year.
It’s been very depressing but at least we got six inches of snow Wednesday night to play in. Sadly, the warm air is returning so it will melt soon but we are thankful for it as long as it stays.
We have more cold teeth chattering cold then snow. Last night we received some, more like a light dusting but heard more on the way tonight. The pups are not fans of it because they are so tiny and their feet stick and we have to be close to pick them up. No one wants to wear boots. SIlly pups. I sure love all your cool snowy photos. Have a terrific weekend and stay safe and warm.
We love the cold and snow but we all have the right furs for it.
Weather patterns for the past several years have gotten completely out of whack. We used to appreciate the odd break in the weather but now the chickens have come home to roost and we’re realizing there’s folly in that. We only can hope that things can successfully adapt to these changes.
We are not adapting well to it all, so we doubt nature will adapt very well. It is not a good thing at all, sadly.
