The first title in 2024 goes to…Nelson! Mom entered me in an AKC Buried Hide Trial last weekend. I had four buried searches and hoped to earn my Excellent Buried Title. Buried hides are tough, but if you want an overall title, you need to get buried titles. The first day I was on fire and Q’d in both of my searches. Mom and I actually had fun doing searches that are usually just a hot mess. Each of the days was hosted by a different club. Saturday was the Northstar Rottweiler Club.
Sunday was the Cambridge Minnesota Kennel Club. I needed three Q’s total on the weekend for a title. The first search of the day didn’t go as planned but after lots of patience, Mom and I managed to find all three hot containers and earn the SBE Title. Since they offered move ups on the same day, we opted to do a Masters Buried search for our second search. After a bit of practice while waiting, I was back on track, more like the dog I was on Saturday. I found three hot containers, and Mom decided that would be all there were. We got a “yes”, and a Q, my first one in Masters Buried Hides. In Masters there can be one to four hot containers and Mom needs to figure out when I have found them all.
I’m super duper happy to have a new title and to be so close to never having to do buried hides ever again! Mom is super happy that I had a perfect weekend. I’m the only dog she has ever had with a perfect weekend. It is my second time as last March I had a perfect weekend with ten searches! Overall, it was a fun and perfect weekend and Team Lime Green can’t wait to get out and compete again!
My GBGV Life is happy, so we’re joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!

Mom was amazed as buried hides are one of the worst elements for pass rates. We are both happy.

What a grand weekend you had!!! Keep up the good work!
Thank you. Mom was very please I earned my title and a leg in Masters. She wants to be done with this element finally.
Hooray, congratulations and good for you, Nelson!
Thank you. I am proud of myself.
Wow Nelson, you are something else! Olivia better cover her tail, you’ll be blowing her scores away!
Mom says we are both really good and I will give Olivia some challenges but she has a certain “born with” talent that will probably always keep her a notch above. I will do my best to challenge her, though.
Congrats on adding another award to your already many. Well done, Nelson!
Thank you. Mom and I are quite happy with our 4 Q’s over the weekend in a difficult element.
Buried searches, that sounds like a lot of work. Glad you enjoyed youself Nelson!
Setting them up is with all the container having either water or sand in them.
