I’ll be right here waiting for you to come back, Mom.
Sadly, humans don’t let dogs go along to the doctor or hospital even though it would make a lot of humans more calm and happy. A therapy dog Mom doesn’t know wouldn’t do much for her spirits. Mom was here for me when I had my surgery in January, and I am here today to wait for her to come back from her surgery. I’m sure she will be just fine and she has another human with her if she needs anything.
We will all be happiest when she is back home, the surgery is done, and recovery can get started. I wonder if she will have to eat a bland diet of rice and chicken for the next two weeks like I did? I hope not as that was rather boring.

It is very hard right now as we are a hugging family and now we can’t put our paws on mom’s shoulders for a long time and we miss it. Olivia can’t do her leap either. In 4-6 weeks, there will be non-stop hugging around here!
we send lots of power to your mama… maybe she needs lots of ice cream to help her shoulder to heal`?
I think she just needs her fur kids to cuddle with a lot. She doesn’t eat sugar anymore, so no ice cream, but she could put it on her broken bone instead of ice??? We would be happy to lick it off as it melts.

Everything is different right now, but we are working through it.

She hates having to be away from us, but it was only part of a day.
Mom will be back, SOON, Madison. She will be dopey and maybe irritable at times; but that is pretty standard behavior for her – right?? She MIGHT eat rice and chicken broth, but I bet she gets hamburger and ice cream and broccoli and French fries. That always makes our mom feel better after surgical procedures.
She came home, drank a lot of water, and had a small dinner and off to bed.
Your mom has been in my prayers for a quick and speedy recovery. I know you’ll all be happy when she’s back home.
