High five to me, the cutest, smartest, hound around! Today I am five, hard to believe, but true. At least I am home schooled so I don’t have to take that big bus every day!
For my birthday photo shoot, we went to the Swing Bridge. With Mom’s arm in a sling, doing things with one hand, she wasn’t up for much. We still managed to get a few shots of me for my special day.
Do you like my hat? This is my new, custom made party hat from The Sand Dollar Dog Company. Of course, it is orange, and I love the polka dots and bright orange pom poms. It looks great on my head furs too!
Here I am on the bridge itself. Bailie did a post about the history of this bridge a few years ago. It is interesting to see as it only goes half way across the river.
There are big rocks on the bridge for people to sit on. Why not let me lie down on one, right? Mom thinks I’m cute and puppy like when I lay like this.
Here is another photo of me at the start of the bridge. The day we were there, it was super windy, so my furs are blowing all over the place. At least my hat stays on my head!
Mom says I do have a bit of “attitude”. We thought this photo would be appropriate for a five year old to end with since we couldn’t do a high five with Mom’s arm. I’m super excited to be five and to have a fun birthday party this afternoon!

We are all happy about being mainly home schooled with occasional field trips for training purposes. It fits our lifestyle well.

That is definitely a happy hat and the color is perfect for you. I was not home schooled, but we only live a half block from my school, so NO bus for me either. Lucy is definitely home schooled. She doesn’t like the noise the garbage truck make on their rounds, so I’m not sure she would ride a bus, but she does like to ride in my truck. Have a blessed day.
We would ride on a bus, but having to listen and pay attention to teachers for the whole day would not really be in our wheelhouse. We prefer to do what we feel like doing most of the time.
