Welcome to the month of April. Every year Mom makes a calendar for the kitchen with our photos in it. There are twelve months so we each get to star in three months, our birthday month and two others. Madison is Miss April 2024 for no special reason. The calendar theme is sports, so all the photos in it are of us doing some kind of dog sport.
April showers bring May flowers they say. I’m wondering if I will need my umbrella a lot in the coming weeks? Mom doesn’t garden, so the rain may bring green grass at our house, but that is about it. Oh yes, dirty wet dogs come with rain as well.
This year we started our word game with the letters of each month. Above is what we came up for the month of April letters. Personally, I am a fan of April Fools Day, and love is in the air. We are doing well keeping up with this letter idea as we are now in month four. Hopefully we can keep it up all year long.

Mom keeps her calendars for some reason. I think she has them from like the past twenty or so years. Every now and them, she grabs one to look up something that happened in a certain year. Making them each year is fun, looking back and choosing photos. We don’t want all our photos to ever be forgotten by us.

Thank you. Mom’s arm is doing well as far as we can tell. She is doing more stuff with it, not sure if she is supposed to, but if it doesn’t hurt, she uses it. 3 more weeks to go until the sling can go and that will be nice.

I have a kitchen calendar with the boys on it too! They get to “star” on their birthday month and gotcha day month, some other months they share, some others they are alone
We don’t have any shared months. We used to have some, but lately we just do one dog each month shared equally over the year.

April is a nice month. We have to be nice to it.
After seeing the weather forecast this evening…you may need a snow shovel instead of an umbrella. We have our fingers crossed for you since we know how much you guys like the snow. #thinksnow
No snow coming here, they are talking 50’s and maybe 60 by the weekend. At this point, we would just like some dry air to help get rid of all the mud out in the yard.
