Niagara Falls was top on our list of things to see on our trip to Massachusetts. Gramma grew up in Buffalo, so near the falls, and Mom went there several times as a kid. They always visited the Canadian side, but Mom didn’t want to deal with dogs and customs. We visited the American side and it was all we needed. Our navigator walked over to the Canadian side, while we waited on our US side.
The rapids are kind of scary. Mom said if we wanted and adventure we could try going over the falls in a kayak, but we all decided to pass as we are not water dogs.
Then the water starts to get really rough and scary right before it goes over the falls.
And then the water goes over the falls. There sure is a lot of power behind all that water! The other side of the falls is the Canadian side.
While we were there, most of the time you could see a rainbow over the water. We are used to seeing rainbows up in the sky.

You know Mom, she always wants photos of us when we go places or do anything. We posed as best as we could with the falls behind us. It is very hard to not be distracted with all the people around. Even we got the rainbow in our photo.
Our navigator was kind enough to take a photo of the three of us with Mom too. The rainbow is still there. We are so lucky we had good weather as it was very foggy until about half an hour before we got to the falls. It was actually sunny and almost too warm for us.
Mom wanted a fun photo of just me with the falls in the background since we were taking this trip for my nose work trial.
We all had a fun little Niagara Falls excursion and we are so happy it was good weather and not too crowded since we arrived early. It is definitely a good place to visit and we recommend it to anyone who has not seen it yet.

It looks scary to me. It was that ruff ruff when I was there.
It is some scary water, but really fun to see. We are not water dogs, so no dears about us jumping in.
That was a cool place to visit, although all three of you look like you were getting warm.
When we got there it was pretty cool but when we left it was getting too warm and there wasn’t a lot of shade, so we left.

Mom went a lot as a kid, but hasn’t been in decades. She always went to the Canadian side, but wanted to try the American side. It is a fun place to go.

The water is a bit loud, but not overly loud. It is hard to imagine how strong water can be and Mom says people used to try to make it over the falls in things like kayaks and barrels. We would not want to even go in that water.
Great photos but I much prefer the Canadian side, that being said, I totally get why you didn’t want to deal with it!
Mom went to the Canadian side all the time as a kid, but never the American. She really liked the American side, and didn’t feel like dealing with customs on both sides and us dogs. We are happy with what we saw.
What roaring fun! It has been many decades since our mom was there, but she mostly remembers the slickers we had to put on and her little brother climbing and almost falling. I’m so glad Nelson didn’t try that with you girls!
Mom never did the Maid of the Mist, and we are not water dogs, so looking at it all from a dry spot is ideal.
I’ve been there once, only on the US side, and it was amazing. I’m glad you all had a good time.
It is pretty cool and the rainbow down there above the water is really fun to see.

Dogs are allowed all over the park, and we really had a fun time. Mom loved seeing the American side.
You take the greatest trips. I will have to drive up there someday – it’s on my bucket list.
Go early, on a weekday, in the off season. It wasn’t very crowded and we could get a good parking spot. It is definitely a place one should see.

Wow-wouldn’t want to be rafting in that water! Glad you got pics from the US side. Looks like a nice state park. Visiting Canada with pets seems like a real cluster.
We didn’t know the rules and it would be a hassle. Mom had never seen it from the US side, so she was happy with our visit.
