Today I’m looking back at my puppy life in 2013-2014 with my new sisters, Emma and Katie, as well as the cats Bert and Sophie. It was a change from life with fourteen puppy siblings, and actually a welcome one. Thankfully, Mom always takes photos. I’ve combed through hundreds of photos and picked out a few to share with you today.
Being a puppy is exhausting, especially when learning to live in a new family. It’s hard to believe all my original siblings have now passed away and I have a whole new set. Emma and Katie were great to me when I moved in, especially Katie.
Katie let me do almost anything with her that I felt like doing. She also taught me to play tug a war which was a favorite game of hers. I preferred wrestling and she joined in with that choice too.
Cats sure can be a lot of fun, especially cat bro Bert. We got into each others furs a lot from when I showed up until he passed away. He always liked us dogs and never backed down from us.
I found out that cats have their own toys and they are different from our dog toys. Our cats had their own tunnel which I was able to fit into when I was a young pup. Mom tells me I loved to crawl in and let my back and front ends hang out of the openings. Sometimes I even napped in the cat tunnel. What was I thinking?
As most youngsters think, I also thought I was the smarty pants of the family. You have to agree, I do seem to look like a smarty pants.
How about a family photo of GBGV’s and the cat on the scratching post. I can’t believe I was small enough to fit into that space! Puppy life did have some advantages like being small.
My new sisters taught me all about the neighborhood watch duties. They were big believers in hands on teaching, so here we are looking for crime in the neighborhood.
Snow was a new friend I found at my new home. One day I woke up and all the green was white. Of course, I fell in love with snow right away. Emma, Katie and I spent a lot of time outside that first winter and we had loads of snow. Chase is a fun game in the snow.
Mom actually walked the three of us together a lot. Katie was so easy, and she didn’t even need a leash most of the time, making it easier for Mom to walk us all together. As you can see in the photo, only one dog is wearing a leash…not fair, but the reality of puppy life I guess!
When I was eleven months old, we took my first road trip, and it was a big one! We went all the way to Las Vegas, via Utah. This is where I realized travel is my worst nightmare, but I still had to travel for quite a few years, and all over the country. Thankfully, Mom has given up on traveling with me finally.
I’m super thankful to have had pretty much three families, my puppy family, Emma and Katie as my family, and now my current siblings. My life has been Grand, full of fun, and a ton of opportunities that many pups never get. I’m a lucky girl!

Your puppy pictures are sooooooooo adorable, Bailie! I think our favorite might have to be you in the cat tunnel with your face peeking out one hole and your tail, the other!
Mom says I did that a lot and it always made her laugh.
What wonderful pictures – there is even one where your eyes are showing your wild side
I guess we all have wild eyes at some point, LOL!
Three families How lucky you are. Some puppies don’t get a family which is very sad. Not only did you get three great families but you got the best mom.
We all think we have the best mom, but she may not be right for every dog.
Bailie I too am very thankful mom takes tons of photos. This was such a nice flashback seeing Katie the gentle lady and OMCs Bert…was saying talk to the PAW
Hugs cecilia
Bert fought with us dogs until almost his last days. He wanted everything we had and he refused to give in to any of us.
Oh such adorable photos of the doggies and kitty too ~ hugs,
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

It was dark and bold and turned so light and I got my speckles or freckles on my shoulders too.
Those were really fun photos and you really do have such a wonderful life. Thanks for joining Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Thank you. It is fun to look back at the years and the siblings.
You are blessed, and so beautiful, and I am very grateful to have “met” you on the internet.
Awww, thank you. We are lucky dogs and I am lucky to have had a great life so far.
What a lovely look back at your early family. So sweet. When I saw the pics of Katie and Emma I got emotional since I know they’re both gone now and Emma in particular was such a sweetheart. Katie looked like such a fun big sister.
Katie was a bit like me as a puppy, always into something causing trouble, but like her I also turned out to be a very gentle well behaved soul. Katie taught me a lot. Emma was awesome too, but Katie and I did more together, she was more of a mom.
