And today I’m turning eleven years old! Happy birthday to me! It seems like this number sneaked up on me, but I really don’t feel a day over six or seven. Nelson keeps me young by getting me to run around in the yard with him.
As you know, we all have fancy party hats from The Sand Dollar Dog Company now. I was the first one to order my own custom made party hat last year and I am still loving it! As always, we took my hat and myself out for a birthday photo shoot. This year we went to Wayzata and took a few shots on the shores of Lake Minnetonka.
Mom grew up in Wayzata and she has a lot of memories from there. We did our shoot at the beach area. It was really busy, but not off to the sides of the beach, so we were able to get some cute photos of me.
This one is my favorite. There is a walkway all around the marina. We stopped along the circle and took this shot of me. What do you think, does purple girl look like she is eleven years old?
Even though Mom’s surgeon removed all restrictions on her collarbone last week, she still is rather careful with it. Since it is not very comfortable to have any pressure on the area, carrying a bag on her shoulder isn’t really working well. We wanted to walk more and take more photos but it was too hard to carry the stuff on her left shoulder, it just isn’t the same. So, this is our last photo for my eleven years old birthday shoot.
Now it is time to see what I will get for breakfast, hopefully some eggs today, and later we will get to have the treats I’ve chosen for my party. Birthdays are so much fun! I may post a few bonus photos on our Facebook page today, we will see if I have time or if I am too busy celebrating.

She is doing pretty much everything but some things are still not perfect. The surgeon said no restrictions but the bone will be fusing for around six months. Overall, it is doing fantastic and we can celebrate my birthday just fine.

Happy Birthday Bailie. We hope the rainstorms and thunder have stopped. We loved all the photos! Good work! It is super hot here this week — Mom and I went for a walk super duper early. When we got up she said, ” the gbgv hounds can get up super early — we can too! Let’s get out there!” have a Happy Birthday!
You better be careful! Our mom gets ridiculous about getting up early sometimes. She is a morning person, so she likes to be up and at it. We could all keep sleeping but we are used to the routine. In the hot months, it is nice being out before it all heats up.
Bailie, love that hat! I think you look more like three instead of eleven! Your mom must feed you from the fountain of youth!
