Welcome to the start of year eleven of my life! In preparation for the party, I dug out the party hats for myself and my guests, and I got the treats out that I had selected. The bakery lady told us she would frost them, put my name, and an eleven on each one. She did that and packed them up in wrapping and put them in a bag. We never thought to check to see if they were correct. I guess she forgot how I spell my name. Oh well, they still tasted amazing! Now we know to always check before leaving the bakery going forward.
The weather is raining all the time, so we had my party a day early which turned out to be a good thing as it rained all day on my birthday. Being the birthday girl, I checked to make sure the cookies still smelled really good. Mom had to remind me not to be tasting them until after the guests arrive and we have photos taken. It is hard not to try just a small bite!
Finally my siblings all found their hats and chairs and we could take our obligatory birthday, family, photo. It is easy to tell it is my birthday but the big smile I am showing off.
Mom said she was done with the pre treat photos and we could dig in. Dig in we did! Mom actually wanted to video the party this time, but she realized if she did that, she would not be able to take photos as she would be in front of the camera, so no video.
Right off the bat, Nelson started to completely forget his manners and he started to get onto the table. As you can see, Madison and I were not pleased about this move. Of course, Olivia didn’t care at all about what Nelson was doing.
Ms. Manners and I started to work on our cookies but we found them quite hard to eat. They are big and not easy to grab on to. Mom helped us both out by breaking the cookie into a couple pieces. At year eleven, I don’t want to behave like a common dog when eating!
Our family is really divided into two groups almost all the time, Madison and me, Olivia and Nelson. Neither of the youngsters give a hoot about manners and being polite. They only want to slam down the food.
Meanwhile, Madison and I continued to eat our cookies like the ladies we truly are.
Look at Olivia! Her beard is full of cookie and frosting and she is laying her muzzle in her plate! Oh my!
Nelson and Olivia finished their cookies but Madison and I were still enjoying ours. Nelson got the bright idea to steal Madison’s cookie, but Mom told him to knock it off and leave us alone! He would definitely steal if he could. Olivia wanted to get down and check the deck floor for crumbs and dropped cookie pieces.
In the end, we all got to finish our own cookies. Mom says we won’t get cookies like these again as they are too hard to eat, but they sure did taste good. Nelson needs to work on his manners before our next party as being on the table is not polite, even for a guy like him. We all love him, so he probably thinks he can get away with anything. He does make me smile and he never means any harm. Now to get my year eleven started in the right direction. Hopefully my misspelled name isn’t a sign from above!
My GBGV Life is happy, so we’re joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!

Love all of your hats and the cookies are decorated beautifully, even if your name is misspelled. You guys always have the best pawties and it starts our day off with huge smiles!
Awww, thank you. We do have a good time, even if some of the family is a bit crazy.
what a party… that are the best events if one of the guests starts to dance on the table… if you want our mama can do the names for the cookies next year…oh well wait, maybe not hahahahaha
They could have been made at the junk store since they were spelled wrong!
Great party!!! We love Madison’s face when Nelson was starting to get on the table!!! You two really are lovely ladies with your nice manners!! Mom’s name is hard to spell too and says things like that happen. It’s not a sign just a mistake from someone who was moving too quickly. Happy 11th!!!! your friend Chester
We should have checked but we never thought about it. There are a million ways to spell my name, so it can happen. The cookies still looked great and tasted wonderful.
What a fabulous pawty you all had. Well, although the name was spelled wrong, the cookies got eaten all the same!
It wasn’t a big deal, but we will mention it next time we are at the bakery. Definitely not a party wrecker!
Even though your name is spelled wrong the cookies looked yummy! Happy Birthday. Hard to believe you are 11. Where did all the time go?
Mom wonders where the time went too. Just the fact that I am such a nice lady dog is hard to believe after my mischievous years.
You did a wonderful job picking out just the right cookies for your party even if they were messy and had a misspelling. Nelson, you made me giggle!
Nelson is a goofy guy, but we all love him and he knows being the youngest and the only boy, he can get away with a lot.
Your mom always does birthdays right. What great shots.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches to the pups and a hug to mom. ♥
All we need are our hats, good treats, and family. Fun is always had by all.
Well… Eleven is a power number, so even misspellings can be overcome – as you all proved by consuming the evidence!
But we do have the photographic proof next time we go to the bakery. Mom should have checked but she never thought about it.
Oh awesome birthday photos ~ You have the best parties ~ Wow! 11 years old ~ lots of hugs and glad you had a great birthday ~
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

We had a great party, my actual day yesterday, wasn’t so fun as it rained all day but we got extra treats and lots of napping in.
That was a fun celebration, even with your two clown siblings. They mean well, at least, most of the time and they do love you all so that covers everything.
Again, I wish you many happy returns of the day!
Thankfully, we don’t invite anyone other than family, so if anyone is a bit wild, no harm done. We just laugh it off and will remind Nelson to stay in his chair next time.
Bailie
Nelson is such a B O Y.
I hear you on the name spelling. Almost everyone spells my name incorrectly, Cecelia…It is Cecilia….
I once had a co worker argue with me about the spelling of my name. She sent me an email with my first name misspelled. Of course I didn’t get it then she called me with her panties in a wad because I had not answered her email. I asked how she spelled my first name, sure enough it was wrong. Then she ranting she never seen it spelled with 2 ‘i’ .
Hugs Cecilia
It can be frustrating, but Mom usually doesn’t mind too much. On the cookies it was a bit disappointing but they tasted just as good even with incorrect spelling on top!
Even if they spelled your name wrong, those cookies look delicious!!

They were super good, but we good girls had trouble eating them in lady fashion.
Fabulous photos as always! Happy Birthday!
Thank you!
Each birthday should leave a special memory behind. In this case you’ll always remember your cookie with a misspelled name and your siblings all over the table. Wishing you a very special belated 11th birthday, Bailie!
That is very true. I do have special memories from each of my birthdays. Next year maybe the siblings will behave and my name will be correct. Still it was a Grand party.
I laughed out loud at your photos – they are all great!! That Nelson is a stinker, but he is a boy. I’m so glad you had a fantastic day.
He is a boy who is a bit spoiled by the world and he isn’t very interested in manners, but no harm done. Maybe he will stay seated at the next party.
Those cookies are just too cool! Bet they tasted amazingly. 🎉
They were quite yummy. Mom broke up the ones me and Madison were eating because we found them a bit too big.
