Today I have for you some flowers at the fishing hole. This is a man made pond that is stocked with fish. Kids bike down here to fish during the summer and even some adults have been seen fishing. Mom and I have no interest in fishing but we like to walk by the area and sometimes we see some pretty flowers.
This first one I have named the purple explosion. It is ideal for New Years or July 4th, but we saw it mid July.
We then found some cute, mini daisies. It is cool to see the water droplets from the dew on the leaves and petals. They are so pretty.
Here is another variety of a daisy, well, maybe not, but we will call it that. Mom and I are not plant folks. We enjoy seeing them, but don’t need to know much about them. The bright yellow screamed, “Good Morning” at us. Note, it too has three water droplets on the one petal.
The last one is my personal favorite, kind of an all lavender daisy style. I think it has a fun look to it with the serrated petal ends. We have never seen a flower like this one before. That concludes our short flower tour at the fishing hole. Have a wonderful weekend!

Lovely flowers! Yes, the “purple daisy” is indeed Chicory – used for coffee during the Civil War and the Great Depression
It’s supposed to be quite healthy we read, now that we know what it is. Maybe I will go back and eat one?

those are beautiful flowers! I love to fish, I used to fish with my Dad when I was young and I also went fishing with an ex boyfriend. It’s so relaxing, I love it!
Mom isn’t into fishing. She went as a kid, but no more.
