Today I’m sniffing vehicles at the fairgrounds in Wisconsin. Back in May, I earned my first NW3 Title and we just got some photos from that trial. Vehicles are almost always outside so they make for some fun photos! There was some nature around the parking area that I elected to check out first.
There were three vehicles for us to search and there ended up being two hides total, both of which I did find. Here I go, cruising around, trying to catch some odor in the air to follow.
Wheels are a pretty normal place for hides to be placed. This is the case here too. I have to narrow down where in the wheel next.
I might come at it from another angle to be sure of the location.
Mom knows when to call “alert”. As soon as the “yes” is heard, the snacks come out. That is the best part of nose work!
Now I have to check the other two vehicles for more hides. There could be two more, one more, or no more. It is up to me to figure that out.
Wait, the license plate is smelling like odor and there are often hides on license plates too.
Yes, it is a hide and Mom will call it for our team. There were two hides total, and I passed the search. Nose work is so much fun!

Oh heavens no. If you pee while working or in a search area, you are disqualified. Lots of boys have problems with that but I know I need to work.

Mom says she will never get tired of watching us search. Every one is different.
Nelson if your fairgrounds are like the ones here they are full of sniffs good and bad. Especially in October when we have our State Fair lots of agricultural smells.

No, I don’t recall sneezing. We do lots of trials at fairgrounds and they are often in the barns and pens. Most of us don’t have any trouble because we know what our job is.
I think the photographer did an excellent job. I can see why he is your favorite one!
Him and Caprise are our favorites. Both are amazing but it takes a while until they get the photos ready to purchase.

One of my favourite smells is a brand new car! I used to sell them so I’ve smelt a lot!
