Welcome to the month of August! I volunteered to find some quotes for the letters spelling August today. It was not an easy project, but I got it done. Thankfully, summer is on the way out in August. Summer is not our favorite time of year with the heat and humidity. August is also Madison’s birthday month, so she will be hogging the blog for a week very soon.

August IS the Sunday of summer, we so agree!!! Mom has a bunch of stuff she has to finish by September so now she is all stressed! I told her we just have to keep walking and enjoying our adventures and the work will get done! Great post–here’s to a great August! your friend Chester.

Mmmm, August is “mAdison” month (okay, not really a quote) but we kind of ran dry this morning! And BTW we’re headed back into yet another heat wave, so hardly think of this as the “end of summer”, sigh. Oh, isn’t August “the dog days of summer”?
All summer is the dog days in our opinion as it is always hot and humid, not much fun.

Thank you. We are going hot and humid here too, it was around 100 yesterday. Not nice.
Although we are ready to be done with temps in the 90’s and over 100, August is definitely not close to the end of summer here on the West Coast….. Unfortunately, we probably won’t see much cooler until October!
Also for your “common sense”, our mom usually says: “Common sense is a flower that doesn’t grow in everyone’s garden”
LOL, love that thought on common sense! Here we will get some hot and humid weather randomly in September and October, but the bulk of it should be done…we sure hope.

We could not survive in the south. Mom doesn’t like the heat and humidity, and neither do we, so farther north is more our thing.
I see your struggles! A- apples we can eat off the ground, U – umbrellas we use to keep the sun’s heat away, G – GBGVs of course! U- unmitigated heat, or unusual weather conditions, S- snips and snails and puppy dogs tails (what boy Nelson is made of), T- tough!!!Temperature!!! and Trumpeter Swans.
