Decisions, decisions, I had to decide what party treats to order for my eighth birthday party. Saturday, the tenth, is my birthday and this is my birthday week. Every year we make the trip to the bakery and deciding is so hard. They have so many good things, it is hard to focus on cookies, cakes, or pupcakes.
The pigs ears really drew me in this time. We have half ears at home once a week, but the big ones smelled so nice. Mom said no to buying them, party pooper she is! Please ignore the horrible Packers jerseys behind me. I am a true Vikings girl and would not ever get one of those jerseys.
Of course, they have an aisle with all sorts of kibble, mostly the fancy kinds. It smells kind of interesting, but I am really happy to have our raw food at home. Ever since we started eating raw, I wolf down my meals and I am not picky at all! There is nothing wrong with kibble, but I never wanted to eat when it was our food. One needs to find the right food for their own situation.
Bones and rawhides are always appealing to a scent hound nose. Mom doesn’t let us have rawhides but they do have some really good looking bones too. Once again, Mom said we didn’t need any of those.
The owner is always so nice and helpful when it comes to deciding on party treats. She knows our family and what we like. I made my decision and it is going to be super yummy and pink! We always need to find things in our own color. Tasting different treats is the most fun part of bakery shopping. I don’t think I have ever tasted anything I didn’t like. Stay tuned probably next Monday to see what I chose for my party and how we all like it.

I would like to bring home almost everything in the store, but I only get to choose my party treats and four treats for us all when I get home from shopping. They were quite tasty.

I think so too, but I know I will and that is most important.
Lucy loves treats from our local Three Dog Bakery, but there is so much construction around the downtown area that parking is almost impossible. Like your mom we don’t let Lucy have rawhide treats. She is a Pure Balance (Salmon recipe) kibbles girl. I think it helps keep her coat shiny. Occasionally, I will switch to the wild boar recipe and she likes it just as well. Thankfully our girl is not a picky eater. Lucy will celebrate her 8th birthday on Christmas eve. Have a blessed birthday celebration Madison from Lucy the OU Sooner/Dallas Cowboy cocker spaniel.
🙂 She can have a Christmas colored cake for her birthday, what a special day to celebrate! We all love the bakery and I happen to love fish, but Mom doesn’t get it for me very often as she doesn’t like it. Wild boar is tasty, we have had that before too.
We know it is going to be delicious, Madison…especially if it’s pink!!

We learned as puppies not to shoplift, but we are allowed to sniff. It is hard sometimes.
