It’s a Friday the Thirteenth mixed bag today. Life has been chaotic from Mom’s exploding work to Gramma’s issues, to happenings with us pups. Let’s start with a positive, these pretty pink flowers for me, Pink Girl, Madison.
Where am I you ask? Why, I’m at the vet. My leg issue has come back with a vengeance. It’s not getting better and my rehab appointment isn’t for a few weeks so I visited my regular vet. For the time being I’m supposed to take it easy, take some pills twice a day and hope things improve way before my rehab appointment. It is a real bummer and we don’t know why my leg is doing this. I went to bed fine one night and woke up limping like crazy. Thank dog for insurance.
Nelson has a new fall collar. It is called “Apple Orchard” and it is from out favorite collar place, UpCountry, Inc. About 90% of our collars come from there. Some are twenty five years old or more. They are all great designs, and last forever despite being washed in the washer after a few weeks of being worn.
With me being on the resting list, it means Nelson lost his walking partner. Mom can’t really walk him with Bailie or Olivia as they are all too strong together. Nelson enjoys running so Mom decided to run three miles with Olivia in the morning and then take out Nelson for a walk/run. They run part of the miles they are on the road but Nelson can stop and walk at any point. So far it is working out well. It wears Nelson out a bit more than straight walking and Mom likes the extra workout.
Ready, set, run! There goes Nelson. He is happy to finally get to experience running. All of us girls ran for years, so it is time for him to get his cute behind moving.
Finally, today is Friday the thirteenth. We are not worried as it is normally like any other day. We had some other days this week that were disastrous, and we hope that stuff is behind us. Happy Friday the Thirteenth from our crazy home to yours!
We are joining our friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard is for their Nature Friday blog hop.

We are crossing paws and fingers that you get back to being yourself without limpies soon, Madison. What a handsome new Autumn collar for you, Nelson! You and Olivia are lucky to get to go for runs with your mom. I wish my mom was a runner but sadly she isn’t and never will be.
I am not as hurtful this morning after my first does of pills. We hope that with more rest and two doses of pills today that I feel even better by tomorrow. It makes me sad to not feel good and since I am a happy girl, it makes Mom really sad to see me not happy. It will all work out, we just need patience.
we hope for the best for your leg… and we hope the pills can do the trick till you go to the rehab place… hugs and lots of potp… and we love the apple collar of your bro…it fits perfectly to him… apple-lause apple-lause…
You guys are funny. My leg doesn’t hurt much today, so the pills are working. I’m good at taking it easy too, so things are much better.
Madison I’m so sorry your leg is aching and keeping you grounded. I must say you are looking very lovely in spite of it.
Nelson you and Mom are gonna be in great shape after jogging. Nelson yep you are as cute coming as your are going.
Hugs on a rainy Friday 13th in Raleigh
Cecilia
It’s hot and humid here. My leg doesn’t hurt as much, thanks to the pills which is nice.
WOW!! prayers for you Madison! YEs, get that little brother’s cute behind moving!!!
I think he wants to be on the cover of GQ magazine or something. Mr. Handsome is what I call him.
Oh no, those darn leg problems. I sure hope all gets better on its own and that you’re feeling normal super soon.
I’ll be taking it easy for a few weeks while I wait for my appointment but at least now that the pain is less I can do my sniffing.
Friday the 13th Yikes! We didn’t realize it. We don’t really think about it either, but we will see how the day goes! Number 1. we hope Madison feels better soon and they figure out what is going on-that stinks. 2. Hooray for run/walk – mom does that with me sometimes too. We tried running together and that just didn’t work! 3. You all recommended UpCountry years ago and that is all mom buys now too. But she doesn’t really need to buy new ones since they last so long! She buys them now just because she likes the design. Hope you have a great Friday. Fingers crossed for all of us to have a great day and for everyone to feel great! Happy Weekend. your friend Chester
Mom has a collar addiction. We have so many, we only buy new designs that come out. She bought a lot of boy ones the past two years since everything we had was girly and I am a guy. Madison feels better today, the meds are working. She should be able to sniff since that sport isn’t hard on the body.
Did they test for Lyme disease
They looked into it, but it isn’t that. I had a test a few months ago. It is the same leg that I had issues with before and it is most likely a similar problem.
We are sending lots of healing vibes Madison’s way…Sunny knows all about leg issues and how annoying and painful they can be. We hope the dogtur can figure out what’s going on!
xoxo,
Rosy & Sunny
We think it is in the tissue or muscle, but it is hard to get an appointment as they are always so booked up. I’m on the waitlist for one if it comes up earlier. For now, no wild stuff but I feel better and my tail is wagging again. Pain meds are working.
Hoping all turns out well for Madison.
We are really tired of this problem. It was gone for so long, it really is a bummer it is back. No idea what I did to have it happen.
Hope you (Madison) figure out what is going on with your leg. Mia is having a mystery issue with one of her back legs.
We are sure the rehab vet will figure it out. They are amazing which is why you can’t just get an appointment there. I’m feeling pretty good now with the pain meds.
Oh dear, poor Madison, we hope your leg problem is resolved soon. Meanwhile, it seems that your mom is getting plenty of exercise.
Mom is exercising for me. She is kind of an exercise nut, so she doesn’t mind. Nelson likes running more too.
Your week sounds crazy like mine — a new granddaughter and a hurricane in one week.
I’m praying for Grandma and Madison.
Thankfully, no hurricanes or tornadoes here. Hope you didn’t have any damage at your place. Cuddle that cute little new family member!
Have you tried laser therapy? Hope you are feeling better soon!
I had that last time this leg was a problem. Most likely I’ll get to do that again, but we will see what they say when I get there in a few weeks.
Madison we too hope you heal quickly and and heal completely with no recurrence.
It is frustrating having this happen again. I’m not even a crazy hound like Olivia or Nelson but it happens to me anyway.
Sweet Madison, we’re so sorry the leg issue has returned. We hope with some anti-inflammatories and rest it’ll get better until you can see your rehab vet. We’re sending you loads of healing energy and pawsitive vibes. Hope your siblings enjoy running with your Mom till you can return to the road.
The pain pills and nsaids are really doing some work for me. I am able to walk without a limp. Did nose work this weekend, but Mom has my activity restricted, no long walks, running or horse play. It’s really a bummer having a bum leg!
