Today we are thankful for still photos of Team Lime sniffing photos. They are from my NW3 trial back at the end of May, but they are worth the wait. We purchased them all for our own use from Caprise Adams, our favorite dog photographer. It’s fun to see how much fun Mom and I are are having.
The first set of photos is my vehicle search. This is from one of the hides on the vehicles. I had been narrowing it all down with my nose and settled on this spot.
Mom called it and got a yes, so it was time to party! My love of snacks is evident in all my searches where I got a yes. For me, I love sniffing but it is all about the snacks. Mom is happy too because I work hard and am so happy to find hides for our team.
The next set of photos is one of our exterior searches in a big outdoor area full of “stuff”. As you can see, Mom donned her rain coat as the weather turned to on and off rain. Thank dog it is the correct color! Note also how we are both very focused.
Off the start, I take Mom on a run through the bunch of huge planters. It is her job to stay upright so I can do my work. Follow your nose is the rule I follow.
At the end of the planters, I did a big head snap followed by a quick turn because my nose caught some odor in the air.
I’m honing in on the source of the odor. Hides are often under rims like these, but where exactly is the hide? The odor likes to chase itself around the rim.
Mom has learned to be patient and not blurt out “alert” too early. We don’t want to hear that word, “no”. When I’m on it, I let her know to call it.
Yes! We celebrate another find! It is so fun to have these still photos of our team. Mom isn’t a fan of being in photos, but she loves seeing the joy we both have as a team. We are thankful for these photos and memories of a fun trial. FYI I did miss one hide in containers, so I didn’t get a title this trial, but I did well and had a blast.

Thank you. We have a lot of fun sniffing together and we are learning to be a better team all the time. We have a lot of sniffing coming up the next six weeks and can’t wait!

Mom has a special bond with each of us but it is also different for each of us. We totally bond over our sniffing work and the distribution of the snacks.

Caprise does such a good job. We rarely buy photos from other photographers as they don’t show the “feeling” like hers do.
