Introducing the newest proud tracking dog, me, Nelson. On October 27th, Mom and I went to Kinnickinnic State Park, just over the border in Wisconsin for my test. I haven’t been practicing a lot, but I had practiced a few times in the past two months. The weather was ideal, cool, some wind, and it had recently rained so the ground was damp. This is me with my start article and the glove I had to find. My track was in the field behind me.
I was dog number six to draw my track and I drew track six. We then found out tracks six through eight were a couple miles down the road in fields over there. Mom has tracked several times at this park and only once went to these fields. Come to find out it is where Madison earned her TD at ten months old and it was the same field. Behind me on the right of the photo is the area where my 450 yard track was. Mom and I both knew Madison was with us in the draw and would be with us as we tracked. Madison and I did so much together, I know she is super proud of me as she smiled down on me from heaven.
You know I am a hard worker and I had to wait so long to run my track as tracks are run one after another, I was bursting with energy. I cruised through the track, raced around the four turns without problems, even stopped for a couple deer poo snacks along the way. Only on the last leg did I go off track after something interesting but Mom reminded me to track and I came right back and raced to the glove. I was so fast, the judges could not keep up, so they were a ways away but could still see the grass moving where I was working. Now I have my TD, Tracking Dog Title.
Normally at most one or two dogs pass these tests but on that day, all eight of us in the test passed which was super nice. Because the first five had passed, Mom was afraid of being the first to fail, but I didn’t let Team Lime Green down.
The judges and my track layer signed my glove and then we got to take some group photos. In the photo, Duane the “stinky, in a good way” track layer is on the left, then judge one, Mom, and judge two. That’s me out front in case you didn’t notice.
Here are my track maps, one from each judge, my signed glove, ribbon, and judging program. Now Olivia needs to get certified and get her TD Title in 2025. Finally I beat her to something! It sure was a Grand day and I am one proud Tracking Dog! Now I have even more letters after my name, yay!
My GBGV Life is happy, so we’re joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!

Congratulations, Nelson! You are a SuperStar and you and your mom are a great team together!
We had a fun time running my track and getting my new title. Now it will be Olivia’s turn.
the signed glove is such a precious souvenir like a signed baseball right? congrats dear nelson you are a super tracker!!!
I’m now the tracking guy around here, LOL!
Woohoo! Great work And you beat Olivia!! What a great day for you and your mom!!! your friend Chester
Olivia started a long time ago but with COVID her certification ran out and she hasn’t gotten a new one so she can’t test. Now Mom will focus on her. I’m sure she will get it next year.
That’s so cool! Congratulations! This is something I’d love to try, but with everything else, there just isn’t time!
Tracking is something loves seeing us do but it takes a lot of time and space to do it. The TD is the only title we try for as to get a TDX and VST take way too much time and space.
Congratulations. Madison will always be with you.
She was with us on our road trip. We kept coming across roads named Madison. It makes Mom cry a lot.
Nelson Congrats to you x 100 at Kinnickinnic…what a fun name
Hugs Cecilia
It is an Indian name. Mom can spell it finally after a couple titles there now.
WHOA! Nelson!! How cool is that to track where Madison tracked! She definitely was with you! And to beat Olivia at something! Whoopie doo to you!!! You da man!
Olivia is always first and best but I’m slowly and quietly beating her at things. I also got my ELT1 title four months younger in age than she did. It is all in fun. Both of us love our sports.
Congratulation, Nelson! You really should not snack on the poo, though.
I know, but it was there and Mom can’t do anything about it in a tracking test, so I had a few snacks along the way.
Woot! Woot! Summy would like to know if deer poo is as good as bunny poo. BOL

Rosy & Sunny
I don’t eat bunny poo, but the deer poo is pretty tasty! It didn’t make me sick or anything either.
Wow! Nelson ~ congrats to you and Mom ~ hugs,
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

Thank you. A scent hound should have a tracking title and now I do.
Way to go, Nelson. You’re a superstar and we all knew you would be.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches to the pups and a hug to their mom. ♥
I am a hard working buy but I am not as flashy as Olivia so I kind of sneak in and do my things.
all I can say is Woo Hoo! Go, Nelson, Go!!!!
I had a real good time and so did my mom. We are happy I have my TD title now.
Look at you go, Nelson! Everyone is so proud of you.
I did a really nice job and we had a lot of fun too.
WOW-O-WOW, what a fabulous day for Team Lime Green! Congratulations from all of us!
Thank you. It was a fun day and I’m happy to have the title being a scent hound.
Bravo, Nelson. We’re all proud of how well you do in the field. Congratulations!
Mom tells me I’m outstanding in my field, LOL!
