It’s a travel Tuesday where we add two new states to our lists of states visited. Some day we would like to say we have visited forty eight states but we still have a ways to go for that goal. The first new state we hit was Kansas. Their welcome center isn’t too interesting but they do have a sign at least. It’s hard to believe we were there in the dark but it was still pretty bright.
Next we landed in Oklahoma, where the wind comes sweeping down the plains. Let me tell you, there was plenty of wind there along with the swirling tornado winds. At the welcome center we found this sign first, the “pan handle” look. Mom took our photo there and then we were going to continue driving.
As we were getting ready to leave we found probably one of the top two welcome center signs we have found so far. It is the Route 66 theme which is so fun! We are liking Route 66 and want to drive on more of it sometime down the road.
We also had to pay a visit to the tri-state corner. This is the place where we can have our paws in Missouri, Oklahoma, and Kansas at the same time.
Here is the marker and our paws are in the area where all three states converge. This site is off the main road, down a dirt road. Sadly, there is a lot, and we mean a lot, of vandalism on the original marker. The one we are standing on also has graffiti. The original marker is covered in so much graffiti, we didn’t want a photo of it.
We are looking forward to more travel to new places in 2025. We have a trip planned in December, but nowhere that we haven’t already been. Olivia now has thirty three states visited and I have twenty five. Road trips are always so much fun and we all learn a lot with our stops, including the weird stops we make. Travel for us = happy hounds.
My GBGV Life is happy, so we’re joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!

The two of you sure do get to see a lot of America and you are very lucky pups!
We are hoping to get to do some bigger trips in 2025 to see some places we haven’t been before. I guess the trial schedules will determine where we go. The two of us love to travel and Bailie is happy to stay home, despite missing us all.
that is so great to travel with ou via your blog… and what wonderful things you always find… you are the best ambassadors of the US… and it is true… america the beautiful…
We love seeing America and traveling around. Hopefully we can do a bigger trip or two in 2025 to add some new states to our lists.
I love going on all your travels with you. I think you will get to all 48.
That is our goal. Olivia has the most states of any of Mom’s dogs but I plan to catch up one of these days.
Oklahoma surely had an most A OK sign. And to have your paws in 3 states at once that was fun. Graffiti is maddening.
Nice posing my friends!!
Cecilia
Thank you. The graffiti is really sad. So many humans don’t have respect for anything anymore and it is a big problem. But, we still have our fun and we are not even allowed to pee on things like monuments because Mom is very strict about those things.
I wish I had been with you. I love exploring new places and I could have loved on you. That would have been the very best part.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches all around and a hug to your wonderful mom. ♥
We are serial cuddlers, so look out! Some day we need to make it to CA, but it is a long drive. We almost went to Oregon but then decided to go somewhere else instead.
Wow! ~ I am impressed ~ well travelled doggies and great photos ~ Bravo to you and Mom ~ hugs,,
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

We love our travels 🙂
It’s always fun to tag along with you and see new, interesting places. I’m not sure I’ve ever stood at a tri-state corner. Maybe someday.
We may have heard of these areas but never paid much attention until this trip.
You know, like you all, we love to travel and Kansas is one of Mama and Rosy’s(and Angels Arty and Dory) favorite states. They have a pawsome rest area off of Route 70 near Manhattan with nice trails for walking!
We have Oklahoma on our list!
xoxo,
Rosy & Sunny
You guys need that Route 66 welcome center since your love that route like we do. Mom spent time in Kansas as a kid and went to a one room school house with family friends who lived on a huge farm in Kansas. Other than that, we never seem to land there on our travels until now.
LOVE THE SHOT of the three states! You two are really making the rounds! We envy you.
We are aiming for 48 one day.
So nice that you get to visit so many states. We saw you saw more of Kansas than just the sign.. We have a lot to see and share.
Woos – Misty and Timber
Mom has been in Kansas more than we have. It is kind of a passing through on the way to other places thing. We spend small amounts of time in different places. I would guess when we do the southwest, we will be back in Kansas.
I think we visited that Oklahoma sign…we’ve been to OK twice for the Collie National. It was quite a drive from CT!
Oh my, that is a big drive! We like their welcome center that we found.
We love following you as you visit all the states! We would really like people to be more respectful of human things and of the natural things too – seems everything is fair game for graffiti
People have become very destructive and don’t have respect for things which is sad.
Such fun sweeties! Your theme song should be On the Road Again!
That is a great idea! We don’t have a theme song but that one would be perfect.
We love your travel posts. Mom, Dash and Lilly have been to Kansas. Not me. we love the tri state picture. How cool!
Hey! guess what – mom broke her foot early this morning. Do you believe it? A fluke accident- she truly tripped over her own feet. She might have to have surgery. She is so mad and sad. We can’t walk! And she was getting ready for a 10k. Cross your fingers for a quick healing process. I was a big help when she fell and gave her tons of kisses then snuggled next to her. I was worried! your friend Chester
Oh no! This is terrible news and it sounds like something my mom would do. Her advice it so make sure and get a second opinion and a 3D x-ray. Her first orthopedic dr insisted she had to have surgery on her ankle but the second dr said it would heal fine without surgery and she was right. Such a major bummer. Take good care of her and she will hopefully get through this fairly quickly and back on the road with you.
Three states all in one paw…that’s something! Sorry about the graffiti…can’t help but wonder why people have to ruin things with it. Sigh.
It is sad that people feel the need to ruin things. Still it was fun to be on the three states at the same time.
