Mom and I had a bit of frigid Christmastime in Wayzata last weekend. We stopped in town to check out some decorations and take a little walk. The temps were in the single digits and the windchill was around zero but the sun was shining! Water is freezing in our area but the lake is still open but soon will also start to get some ice.
Most of the stores along the main street have these huge planters with beautiful holiday decorations in them.
This window box planter was one of our favorite window displays along the main drag. There were a lot of people out shopping so it was tough to get a shot quickly without people in it.
At the end of the main road we found these three pretty trees with large ornaments. Signs say, “no dogs on the grass”, so I stayed on the sidewalk for my photo. The blue sky looks great with the blue ornaments. Mom always says the best thing about really cold days are the clear skies and sunshine.
Finally, it wouldn’t be Christmastime in Wayzata without a shot of me with the tree by the old movie theater. Mom used to go see movies there all the way through high school. Now it is a business, but the beautiful marquee out front has been preserved. That is it because it was a short and quick walk, but a fun one. Happy Friday!
We are joining our friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard is for their Nature Friday blog hop.

The Christmas decorations are so pretty and the blue ornaments on the tree are so pretty against the beautiful blue sky and you are such a great model, Bailie!
Thank you. I do pretty well with the camera, but I have done it for so long, it is normal.
June wants to “borrow” the tree with all the big blue ball ornaments on it … she says it’s purr-fect!
They are pretty, but I think they have to stay on the trees.
we love the decorated town… it is peaceful there and no trouble and wild people…
No, it is a fancy kind of town where it is very mellow.
Bailie, you were the perfect one to take on this walk! Love the decorations you found with which to pose.
Thank you. I tried to be festive.
Perfect pictures.
It was a beautiful day for photos but really cold.
What a fun outing….yikes you are both very brave to walk in the single digits….
I love the decorations.
Hugs cecilia
Going one way it was nice and warm, but the way back to the car was so cold, Mom thought she might freeze before we got to the car!
What a beautiful little town, we really like those little Christmas trees!

Thank you. The main street of town was very festive.
You look very pretty out there with all the pretty decorations!
Thank you. My furs look nice when they are cold.
I love seeing a chilly Christmastime stroll through your eyes.
Thank you. It was not bad going one way but the way back to the car was freezing!
Even if it was cold, it sure was pretty. Love those clear blue skies with sunny conditions; made the decorations look nicely coordinated too.
The super cold weather always makes for a beautiful sky, but it was really cold walking back into the wind!
