I’m super thankful we find such fun places to go sniffing! Mom gets bored with schools and camps and since we love to travel, she looks for trials at venues that are out of the ordinary. Two years ago I had one trial at the Michigan Firehouse Museum and had a lot of fun. This year it worked with our schedule and I got to do three trials in two days. It was cold out, but that only bothered Mom and just a little bit.
Friday ELT-P
The first day was my ELT-P Trial. We had four searches, two in the morning, two in the afternoon. the searches were good, fun, and challenging but Mom and I were not our well oiled machine. When we trial a lot, we get much better but at my level, it is hard to find lots of trials to go to. Nevertheless, in my second search of the day I placed second and got a pretty ribbon for that. I also placed fifth overall for the entire trial. We missed three hides out of nineteen. The second place still makes us happy and we had a Grand time!
Saturday Morning ELT-S
Saturday morning I had an ELT-S Trial which is a half day with four searches. The search times are short making it a bit of a speed trial. Team Orange was back with a vengeance that morning. I shot into my searches like I was fired out of a cannon and worked my furry behind off in a speedy manner. At the end of the morning I had missed one of twelve hides, and placed first overall, being 1:39 faster than the second place dog. I wanted to get the missing hide but Mom thought the area was out of bounds and didn’t let me go there. A dog needs 350 points for a title, and being as this is only my second ELT-S, I don’t have enough points yet. You can watch my four searches in the video above or on YouTube itself.
Another Try At L2C
The final trial of my three trials was the L2C, Level 2 Container Trial. I have tried to earn this title twice and failed. Mom really wanted it so I could be done with my Level Two Elements. Well, yes, I still had plenty of energy in my tank to be a rock star again Saturday afternoon. I found all seven hides, didn’t pay any attention to the distractors in some of the containers, and earned my L2C Title! The distractors I ignored were bread, a Kong, ham, lettuce, and tomato. This is one of our favorite fun places to go sniffing and we may be back again another year.
I’m joining Brian’s Home Blog in the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

We weren’t able to watch the video. It says that YouTube closed the connection but we know you did a great job, Olivia. You are the queen of sniffing!
Sniffing is what I was born to do I think.
The video was available this time around! We love watching you and your mom search, Olivia!
Awww, so sweet of you to come back. It worked when we checked it, but I added a link just in case. We had a lot of fun.
Awesome searches, Olivia!
Thank you. Lots of stuff and Mom is always amazed at how I find things in the midst of everything.

We have a very loud siren at home, his name is Nelson! He wakes up the neighbors often.

Lots of good challenges and Mom likes all the old fire stuff.
Well done! Your mom always finds such cool places to visit. Loved your pretty ribbon.
We need interesting things to do so our travels are fun. Some we plan and others we stumble upon.
