Calling all those who love happy funny hounds! I’m singing the song of my people for you, maybe you have heard me since I am extremely loud when I decide to say something. My preferred time to sing is when most humans are sleeping and I see a rabbit. My beautiful voice can be heard as far as a few blocks away. People love it, I know it!
We have had some really cold weather along with sunshine. Sunny cold days make us all want to be out in the yard doing things. Bailie is pretty mellow but she enjoys sniffing around the pine trees to see how many rabbits have been there since the last time she checked.
Sniffing is so entertaining for us hounds. I could spend all day every day with my nose down sniffing things. It is important to keep at least one eye on what is going on so no one sneaks up on a guy.
Olivia has said she would love to see a chiropractor since the rest of us have said how good it feels to be adjusted. Since Mom doesn’t think she needs to go, I tried giving her a bit of an adjustment right here in our yard.
After the adjustment which she said did nothing, I told her I was going to take her down and off we went.
I took a short break to check on Bailie. She was still in the back part of the yard sniffing. According to her, it is simply nice to be outside on a cold and sunny day.
Hey Olivia! Have you seen my big, shiny white teeth lately? I could use them to grab a hold of you. Look out, sis!
To really tease my sister, I told her that Mom said I was a better nose work dog that she was. You can see the shocked look on her face! We can be such silly and funny hounds!
When I asked her if she wanted to know any other secret stuff I’ve heard lately, she said, “I’m all ears” and put up her ear to hear what I had to say. We’ve all been enjoying the weather of the past few days, but some snow would be nice. Maybe we will get some on the weekend or next week. My paws are crossed.
My GBGV Life is happy, so we’re joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!

What great shots of you and Olivia being funny, Nelson. We got snow yesterday but only a dusting AGAIN! Mom says to feel fortunate that we didn’t get the snow and ice that those south of us got.
We got nothing and no snow in the forecast. Bummer!
Funny Hounds!!!!! We love all of these photos. We did get snow and coooold temperatures. Mom laughs that I love to go out in it. Last night I came in with my muzzle all covered in snow and my tail wagging away! Made Mom laugh. Have a great day you funny, happy hounds! your friend Chester
You are so lucky! Not even a flake here, but at least it is cold which makes us wild. Enjoy your snow and amusing your mom. She needs that with her broken bone thing going on. Take a dive in a snowbank for us!
Those are fantastic action shots of you happy hounds.
Thank you. We do have fun.
I would love to hear a recording of your howling
Mom will try to get one. She had one of all four of us howling but she can’t find it.
What a precious series of sweet photos of your ‘Happy Hounds’ ~ thanks, hugs,
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

We are super happy when it is cold and we can get nice and wild.
Always love seeing what you’re up to. You have a most wonderful mom. She makes sure that you’re all healthy and happy.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches to all the pups and a big hug to mom. ♥
She does try her best to give us the best life and one that we all enjoy, including her.
Always love the hounds…
Thank you. We love being hounds!
Nelson I’m calling you Dr Feelgood today. Olivia is lucky to have a brovver who can sing and adjust her spine at the same time. thank you for the kind bday wishes
Hugs cecilia
We with January birthdays have a special bond. I have eleven days to go until my birthday, but I’m not excited, counting, or anything.
Wonderful, fun shots full of action and great commentary. We have about eight inches of snow and ice you can come get. We’ll keep the other 2 or 3 inches. It is Lydia’s first snow, and with her long legs, she is the only one of us who doesn’t wade through the white stuff.
Well, Mom says if you didn’t shovel for them they would all figure it out. Mom never shovels anything in our yard, we have to make our own trails. She shovels the deck and stairs but that is it! We are used to it and love it.
You are too funny Nelson! I love all the photos of you three!
We got some snow Monday, but the roads around here iced up. Even today some areas are icy. They are calling for more snow on Saturday- I hope not. Our wine group is getting together for our holiday get together. I think we should celebrate in the spring!
We had wanted to travel out to MD this week but it didn’t work with our navigator’s schedule so we didn’t enter that event. With the funeral in DC and storms all over, we are glad we are home instead. Stay safe.
You were sure having lots of fun out there even without the snow!
At least it is cold!
It’s such fun to watch you sniffing and playing and having a good time.
We make do with what we have and there is no mud when things are frozen so we can play and not get into a dirty mess.
Omgosh. I’m so happy you stopped by my blog. I love your place. I have to tell you tho, I have never heard of a GBGV. Never. Now I’m going to look up the info. You have an absolutely gorgeous family and it was nice meeting all of you. 🙂
Thank you for stopping by. The GBGV is pretty where all over the world. Most people have never heard of us. One reason we started the blog was to promote our breed. Every little bit helps.
Hopefully snow will arrive soon in your area. We received about 5-6 inches and more is forecast in a couple of days. The National Western Stock Show begins this weekend and like clockwork, it’s always cold during its run. Both dogs were content to stay indoors while I shoveled the walks. Wilson is the first OES I’ve owned who wasn’t particularly keen on snow and cold weather. Ironic considering how brutal winter weather can be in Missouri. Have fun sniffing.
Mom shovels the driveway and walk way to the house but she never shovels paths for us in the yard. We have to make them ourselves and we enjoy that job. Maybe the big guy will get used to snow.
