It’s a happy Tuesday when a guy can post about his awesome birthday gifts and some funny bloopers from his big day turning three. Although I was pretty serious for my birthday photo shoot, I got my silly side out for my gifts.
Birthday Gifts
My nose could tell there were good things in the gift bag. I could not wait, I had to check it all out.
Mom knows what I love to do and she loves to do it with me. The first thing I pulled out of my bag was this gift certificate for an upcoming nose work seminar working spot with our favorite instructor. I know we will have a lot of fun and learn a lot for the upcoming trial season!
Next I pulled out this new collar. Mom has so many girl collars, I am still trying to get a nice selection of boy things to wear throughout the year.
My serious side came back because the collar is actually from Madison. She loved fun or fashionable collars that were her style and she also wanted me to look good too. Evidently before we even knew she had cancer she found this collar for me.
On the lighter side, I found the good smells. Bailie got me some beef lung bites and Olivia got me a bag of Bully Burgers. My sisters are smart as they know we will all share these tasty treats! They brought out a smile in their little brother. It’s always all about the snacks with me!
A Few Birthday Bloopers
Bailie is always good at sticking her tongue out when she is getting impatient with the photographer. Notice Olivia is smirking.
Olivia can also get her tongue out when needed.
As I mentioned yesterday, Mom won’t let us eat our treats until she is done with photos. Sometimes if it is taking to long we all start to get really sad, LOL!
After I had a sniff in my gift bag, I was ready to give my new gifts a taste! Can you see the theme of my third birthday seems to be “tasty”. No one can keep their tongue in!
Lastly, I thought everyone would love to see the pearly whites of a three year old hound. Yes, I brush every night before bed, we get chews every day and Plaqueoff on our food. So far it works wonderfully as Mom has never had a dog need a dental cleaning.
That is a wrap for my third birthday. Now back to regularly scheduled programming for two months until it is Olivia’s birthday time.
My GBGV Life is happy, so we’re joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!

We love your new collar and the note from Madison, Nelson. You got awesome gifts and that last picture of you and your pearly whites made us laugh out loud☺
Sometimes my goofy side likes to slip out, LOL. I love my gifts too.
How precious the new collar and note are! Cherish them forever!
Mom and Madison had no idea what would soon happen when they ordered that collar. It will always be special for me and Mom.
we love the photos and the last one is so super.. so much tongues, you picked the perfect cakes and snacks, congrats!!!
We had a lot of fun which is how it should be at a birthday party.
Nelson dear sweet boy…what a fine birthday you. I love the certificate for a session with Holly. Mom surely knows how to surprise you.
Sweet precious Madison…you big sister always looked out for you, included you in all the sister fun…the collar you selected especially for you will be most certainly a good luck collar and a treasure. when you wear it I know you will fell Madison giving you a hug around your neck.
OMDs you 3 are so well behaved. I am 300% sure I could never ever NO never wait as long as you did for a taste of cake.
Loved your barkday post and the bloopers were fun too

Thank you. It was a Grand day and I am enjoying being three so far. Our parties are always fun and you never know what might happen.
Tears that Madison was physically not at you party but she was there in spirit.
She is with us and sometimes sends us her signs. I had a great day and I know she would want me to have fun.
Awwww.. Glad Madison got to shop early – what a special, special gift! You three are the best for photos! and I know you will all share Nelson’s treats.
We always share things. Mom found it weird that she was shopping for Madison but they found the collar for me and nothing for her. No one ever suspected Madison would not be at my party.
You have beautiful photos of your 3rd birthday celebration. Madison’s note is a reminder to the love we have for each other never leaves.
She will always be with us in spirit and in our hearts. Funny how it can feel lonely even though there are three of us.
Your new collar is awesome and what a wonderful letter from Madison ~ (angel that you were and still are) ~ wonderful birthday photos ~ love the sweet little tongues ~ lol ~ hugs,
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

We had a good time. Birthday parties are always fun as they should be.
What a wonderful birthday you had, Nelson. Your mom sure makes sure you’re all taken care of on your birthdays and everyday. She rocks. Great shots.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches to all the pups and a big hug to mom. ♥
We are lucky hounds to have a good home with everything we need and sometimes even more than we need like snacks 😉
It’s all wonderful and fun and also brings back memories of Madison. I’m so glad you have a special collar to remind you of her and how much she loved you.
She was very special and will always be missed. We had a lot of fun and thought about her a lot.
Great gifts!! And how wonderful that Madison had planned for your birthday that way. A very special sister indeed. We think the photo of the three of you looking so sad while you wait for your mom to finish taking pictures is the funniest. We can hear you all saying, “come on! we want to eat!” Great post. Have a great day. your friend Chester
Thanks, Chester. Mom and Madison had no idea what life would be doing to them when they ordered the collar for me but I will wear it proudly. We had a great time but that waiting part is really rough!
You sure did have a wonderful Birthday and that give from Madison was just the best.
She loved a good collar and although she didn’t see one for herself that day, she saw this one for me. I will wear it proudly.
Loved your bloopers, Nelson. I confess I did get a bit teary eyed with precious Angel Madison’s note. She was such a dear sister for you. 💚 🩷 💜 🧡
She is so very missed. It has been a really hard loss.
