Yesterday Mom asked me to go Valentine cookie shopping with her. Since I’m the guy in the house, I like to get the girls something since they are so nice to me all the time and they don’t have any boyfriends. We went to the Wag n Wash as they have pretty tasty and fun cookies.
We rarely go to this place but when we do, I love to sniff it up good. It is full of all kinds of treats, food, and chews. These jumbo sausage treats caught my interest but Mom said we didn’t need any of them.
They also have XXL cookies for dogs. You know me, I’m all about snacks which makes this place really fun for me. Next time I think I will bring my own money.
Now back to the reason we came to the store in the first place…Valentine cookie shopping. The selection is pretty good.
I decided what cookies I would like and was telling the lady behind the counter what I would like to take home for Valentine’s Day. She was totally in love with me and I was hoping maybe she would sneak me an extra cookie but no such luck. Mom finds it funny how no matter where we go or what we do, everyone loves me. I guess I am used to it at this point.
The nice lady put my cookies into a bag while I watched and made “eyes” at her. Mom fished her credit card out of her wallet and paid for my selections.
Back at home, Mom let me see the cookies on a plate and she wanted a photo of me with the cookies. According to her, I may have some impulse control issues with “snacks/cookies”, which is why the plate is not too close to me. Don’t they look good? My sisters will be so happy to each get one on Friday! I’m thankful we have a couple good dog bakeries near where we live for special occasions!

They have fun cookies in bright colors. The other bakery has good cookies too but they are better at cake stuff and other fancy treats.

Bravo Nelson! A great shopping trip –those cookies are good looking! I wish we had a store like that. Maybe mom will surprise me with a valentine cookie… that would be so nice. I bet everyone falls in love with you– you are fall-in-loveable! Mom is able to walk in sneakers! She goes for about a mile right now. Then she has to put the boot back one. But she doesn’t take me on the walk! She said she just isn’t ready for me to startle her in any way. But she says soon. I hope so. She is happier since she is walking, I can tell! Mom says she used to cry when she was in her boot and drove by people walking because she wanted to walk like nothing was wrong. At least she only had the boot and only for six weeks. She even did a nose work trial wearing it. Mom gets mad at her body when it is broken and she doesn’t like to give it a break. It is a good and a bad thing. Glad your mom is getting back to normal slowly.
