Happy Love Your Dog Day, it is actually love your pet day but we changed it for our family! At our house that is every day and we think for every home with a dog that should be the case. Since we don’t have a lot of photos of us with Mom, we decided to look back at our sports photos to find some fun examples of love. The photo above is a selfie Mom and I took at a nose work trial just over a year ago.
Let’s go down memory lane a bit and start in seniority order. Since Mom was a flight attendant for a long time, she loves seniority order. This makes me, Bailie, first. Here we are at my very first nose work trial ever, an element trial back in May 2015, almost ten years ago! We both do look quite happy and I am sure we were having fun together.
Now we have a photo from a year later, May 2016, when I was in a nose work trial and from the looks of it, I must have found the hide in the wheel of the van. Mom is showing me some love for good, honest work. Note, my whole career, purple was a “thing”.
Olivia did a good job in record time finding the hides in this search. Mom is very happy and is letter her know that as they leave the search area. There is always a lot of love at our sports events, even if we don’t do well, but doing well is the best!
This hide was at one of Olivia’s Summit Trials. It was in that squished can in the grass. She did a great job following the scent cone and alerted on the can. Mom was not sure but she called it and Olivia was “treated” quite well. Her eyes tell it all. She’s the one with the crazy eyes in the family.
Nelson is the absolute number one snack monster. It is always about the snacks for that guy! One time early last season he would not come when called to Mom at the end of his FastCAT run and wanted to play “catch me if you can”. Mom said no way this was going to happen again. She started carrying one treat in her pocket. As soon as Nelson crosses the finish line, she says, “Nelson, snacks” and he comes right to her. The photo shows how happy they both are!
Finally, the snack monster will do anything for snacks. Mom looks so happy and it looks like Nelson is talking to her. Don’t miss the real amazing thing, though. He is standing on one, yes, one, paw!
We are so thankful that Mom loves us so much every day. We are a lucky bunch and not all pets are that lucky! Give your pets a bit of extra love today and make sure every day is a love your pet day!

So fun to look at!
We love looking back through our photos and remembering things we had forgotten about.
Those are Grand photos!
Yes, every day is “love your dog” day in this house, too.
It is kind of silly to celebrate only one day, but why not!
Every day is cherish your dog day. So much love.
Mom knows to cherish every moment of every day as time is never guaranteed for any living being. Love abounds here.
OMDs this was ever so much fun to scroll and read. Just wonderful. You Mom is a great trainer and lover of you all.
Nelson I expect all those treats give you super duper powers to stand on one leg and wow you are almost as tall as Mom
Hugs cecilia

Love is a wonderful thing!
What great pictures! Absolutely love the first shot of Bailie and Mom. Olivia is definitely all about the nose. Nelson must have been a ballerina in a past life; he sure can balance. He needs some trick titles after his name.
Nelson and Olivia got their novice trick titles at Purina farms in 2024. Tricks aren’t really our thing but at least we managed one. It was offered, so why not give it a whirl.
We always love seeing your Mom make appearances on your blog!
Happy Furry Family Day!
xoxo,
Rosy & Sunny
She isn’t in very many photos but sometimes she is. Hope you guys are getting some extra treats today too!
The love always shows in your family.
There is a lot of it here and we are all thankful for that.
There is no doubt about it, when we see the wonderful photos of your family we see love everywhere, always! That’s the best thankful! Thanks for joining Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
It is sad some pets don’t have the love as love is the most wonderful thing.
I agree with you every day should be love your dog or pet day everyday
It is rather silly having one day a year for it but it is part of our lives so it is every day here and on the one special day, we get a few extra treats.
Awww, such a precious post. We can tell your Mom loves you all so very much.
She sure does. We are super lucky.
