I got happy with the Peanuts Gang from Charles Schulz on the weekend. This year marks seventy five years of the Peanuts. The first cartoon appeared on October 2nd, 1950. Charles was from St. Paul, MN which means there is a lot of Peanuts going there. Mom and I visited the five bronze sculptures in Rice park. This one I am admiring is Charlie Brown holding Snoopy. The bronze statues were created in 2003 and are permanently in this park.
Next I ran into Peppermint Patty kicking around her football in the snow. If you are a long time blog follower, you may remember Emma found as many Snoopy statues as she could around the Twin Cities. She started her project in 2013 with the Snoopy at the IKEA store at the Mall of America. We don’t know how many she found over the years. Eventually, she added finding the other characters too.
I found Marcie on a bench reading a book. She is the kind of girl that is very into school and learning. The bookworm look is definitely evident when you see her!
What is she reading? I tried to glance over and get a look but I wasn’t able to figure it out. She doesn’t like to be bothered when she has a good book. Woodstock seems to have a better birds eye view of the book than I do.
How about some music in the park? Schroeder would not be seen without his trusty piano. Lucy has her crush on him, and therefore is hanging out listening to whatever he chooses to play. I was hoping for, “How much is that doggy in the window” but he wasn’t taking requests.
Finally, I found Linus and Sally simply hanging out, watching traffic, looking a bit bored. I tried joining them to see what they were looking at but I didn’t see anything interesting.
Sneaky Mom took this shot of the three of us from behind. She says it is super cute. I don’t know if I agree but it is nice to see what is actually behind these two characters. Linus has his blanket draped over his shoulder and Sally is holding flowers. My back right paw is kind of like Sally’s right foot which is funny.
As I mentioned, these bronze sculptures can be found in Rice Park. We took a photo of the sign and then realized after reading it, it is a rather famous park. No wonder the Peanuts Gang is hanging out here! Hope you enjoyed seeing the characters we found.
My GBGV Life is happy, so we’re joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!

We love Snoopy and you are one lucky boy to be able to spend time with them, Nelson!
Mom doesn’t know why Emma never found these special five bronze statues, but I was happy to find them and pose with the Peanuts.
that was brave to be close to lucy… and she even hold your leash… wow
Mom was nervous by the road, so she had her hold my leash.
Love this park and the pictures
They are fun sculptures to see and they are spread out so you have to cover the whole park.
I love all things Snoopy. What a fun excursion.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches to the pups and a hug to mom. ♥
Thank you. Loving Snoopy is pretty easy. He’s a cool dog!

Mom has fun putting me with the gang and I liked meeting them.
Wow!! How cool it must have been to hang out with Charlie Brown and the Gang!

I enjoyed meeting them all and they were very welcoming with me.
That is a really cool park; thank you for taking these pictures and sharing them!
It is our duty since we live in Peanuts Land 😉
Wow ~ You and Mom go the best places and take the best photos ~ love Peanuts gang with you in each photo ~ thanks so much ~ hugs,

I loved being with all of them and they were super nice to me!
We love when you write about the Peanuts gang. We love them too! Linus and Sally are our favorite especially the pic from behind! no Snoopy?
And guess what? Mom has been cleared for all activities. No more boot! To celebrate we walked our 1.5 mile loop. Mom was sort of slow but I loved every minute!!! We are both so happy!!!!
Oh my dog! We are so happy for your mom and you. She will get that muscle strength back fast and everything will be normal again. Such great news! It was a bit odd as the only Snoopy in the five bronze statues is the one of him laying on Charlie Brown’s lap. If we hadn’t read that he was that dog on the lap, we would have overlooked him. I guess Snoopy stars in most things so this time it was the characters turn.
What a fun place! The statues are great, I still love reading the Peanuts comic strip.
Mom has always loved snoopy and watching all the holiday Peanuts shows as she was growing up.
Those are so very cool and how lucky you are to see them!
We are happy our area celebrates them so much.
My Goodness, Olivia! You did a fabulous job of sleuthing through the city for Peanuts! How does it feel to sit on a piano?
I only had my front paws on the piano.
Those statutes are totally adorable! How can anyone not love the Peanuts gang?
We love all the Snoopy stuff around our area. It is my first time doing photos with them. They are all so fun.
