We are thankful for a big snowstorm Tuesday night into Wednesday that left us with a good foot of heavy, wet, snow. Finally it feels like winter! It will melt in the coming days as it will get warm again but we are going to enjoy it while we can. This is how winter should be. The wet snow does like our furs, note my snowballed legs.
Olivia and I went out for the first walk in the early morning. Mom had shoveled the walkway but that was it. As you can see behind us, the driveway was quite deep. Our walk was pretty short because only one vehicle had been on the road and we had to walk in the track or it was too much hopping to move forward.
Bailie walked after we came back and also used the car tracks. The wind came up as they said it would and it appears that Bailie had her face iced with the wet snow and wind.
We started working on our yard trails. Oddly, Madison was the one who always made them. She was so small but she cut through the deep snow like it was nothing. Bailie decided to stay in the less deep spots. Her arthritis sometimes keeps her from doing crazy things like she used to but she does enjoy the snow.
No surprise, Olivia was off and racing in the deep stuff. Mom loves racing in the snow photos. She snapped this series of Olivia getting up and racing.
I’m not one to pass up on a good chase, especially after a big snowstorm left us with so much snow! I can never catch the girl but I sure enjoy trying! We are super thankful to have gotten this fabulous load of snow, it is like winter finally arrived, even if it is only for a few days.
We’re joining Brian’s Home Blog in the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

Lucky you! Enjoy your snow to the fullest while it lasts!
We will. It will start melting today. We figure by the end of the weekend it will be mostly gone.
that is a good way to stay in shape and power when you are dashing through the snow…
It is exhausting but in a good way. Lots of wild play followed by good solid napping.
Enjoy your snow while it lasts! We are glad to be heading into Spring where we are.
Sadly that spring stuff is headed our way but we are enjoying our winter while we can.
How fun to play around in the snow!
We love it and Mom loves to shovel and walk with us in it.
So happy for you. The smile on your is priceless

Great snow shots of flying dogs! Poor Bailie with her iced face!
She doesn’t seen bothered by it at all.
Zzzzzoooooom!!! Snow zoomies are the best zoomies!

But they sure make us tired as the deep heavy stuff requires a lot of energy to power through!

LOL, that is funny. We are all super happy to have had a big storm but it is disappearing fast.
The snow looks amazing, snow bobbles are a pain but the sign of having lots of fun xxx
We love big snowstorms at our house but sadly, the weather warmed up way too much and it is almost all gone.
