I had some tough decisions to make when selecting my “treats” for my upcoming birthday party. For my first birthday I was the first one in our family to go to the then, brand new, Three Dog Bakery. Now it is a tradition for all of us each year before our birthdays.
They have so many things in this little shop. Clothes, collars, bandanas, hats, food, treats, and bakery items. The smell is amazing! It takes a nose a few minutes to sort our all the tasty aromas. I know I am not supposed to steal things, so I stood on my back paws to get a better whiff of the snack bar set up.
All the chews and things look and smell amazing. I had to drag Mom over there so I could check them out up close.
They have two of these refrigerated cases fool of yums. This one has more cookie type items, and the other one has cakes and things like that. I also need to choose three small treats to take home for my siblings and I to eat because I was at the bakery. So many tough decisions, I will need a nap soon.
Finally after some discussion, Mom and I decided on what to serve at my party and the owner of the bakery helped us figure it out. I’m super excited and I know we will all love what I have chosen for my sixth birthday party. We sure are lucky to have a great bakery near where we live!
We’re joining Brian’s Home Blog in the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

We know you chose well and we can’t wait to see your yummy birthday treats, Olivia!
I’m excited to celebrate and share what I chose for my party this year.
da nelly has an idea… take all things!!! da whole store…
I wish I could. Mom let me pick three things to take home to everyone.
Yes, you are very fortunate to have one of those bakeries close enough to visit in person! The closest thing we have is a counter at one of the pet supplies stores that has some fancy cookies. We went there for my birthday last week.
That sounds like the store Nelson goes to get us Valentine’s cookies. They are good too.
I can’t wait to see what you picked.
It is going to be a winner, I’m sure of it.
Olivia what a fine tradition you started. I read a book years ago ‘Amazing Gracie’. It was written by the founders of Three Dog Bakery. Gracie was a Great Dane with all kinds of digestive issues, which is what lead them on a search for food that Gracie could eat.
Hugs Cecilia
Our bakery owner owns rescue boxers. They also work at the bakery every day and get to be behind the counter. The things they sell are pretty healthy which is one thing we really like.
Waiting with baited breath to see what you chose!
So are Bailie and Nelson.
Oh our goodness we love when you visit the bakery! It looks like it has so many scrumptious treats. We can’t wait to see what you picked. We are sure you and your sibs will love every morsel!!! Great work Olivia. your friend Chester
What a coincidence as I love it when I visit the bakery too! I can’t wait to dig into what I picked out for my party. I know everyone will like it.

It will be a tasty party for sure! All the sniffing really wears a girl out.
How fun! My gang love to go shopping too! (But they do try to “sample” the items, so I have to keep a close eye on them! lol)
We all know not to sample on our own, only sniffing is allowed but the bakery lady always lets us do some sample tasting.
That place is so much fun! You have a better bakery than most humans have! Thanks for joining Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
It is amazing as it looks like desserts for humans.
I know this is the most fun part of getting ready for a birthday. Hooray for a good bakery!
It is so fun and so yummy. We all look forward to it.
