We sure hope your Monday is a real wiener! The wienermobile is in the Twin Cities for a week. Mom heard about it and, of course, we had to go see this crazy thing. It parks at various grocery stores for a few hours and then moves on to the next.
Did you know the first wienermobile was created by Carl Mayer in 1936? Evidently, every so many years they make changes to the style of it. In 2023 they renamed this the Frankmobile. Fans were so mad and protested so much, they returned the name wienermobile just four months later! There are six wienermobiles total.
The drivers are named, “hotdoggers”. They are all college kids who commit to driving for a year. Over seven thousand apply each year with the top six getting the honors. How crazy is that? The hotdogger for this real wiener car was a girl – girl power I say! We sure do love the license plate, how fun.
Unfortunately, she parked this puppy right up by the entrance to the store which means no real room to get good photos. People were going in and out of the automatic store doors too which kept distracting our modeling concentration. Mom knows The Wiener Song and was singing it to us in the car, oh brother! Do you know it? It was created in 1962, appeared in commercials reaching some forty nine million families, aired in nineteen countries and even appeared on a Hallmark card, how crazy! Honestly, we are non interested in being an Oscar Mayer Wiener.
Oh, I wish I were an Oscar Mayer Wiener,
That is what I’d truly like to be-ee-ee.
‘Cause if I were an Oscar Mayer Wiener,
Everyone would be in love with me.
Mom has seen a wienermobile one other time in person, with Emma in February 2018. Other than different license plates and a different hashtag, it looks about the same as the one we saw. You know our family thrives on finding the crazy stuff and this one is one real wiener!
My GBGV Life is joining Comedy Plus for the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

What a great shot of the two of you posing with the WienerMobile!
Hope your day is a wiener! The wienermobile is a fun thing to go and see.
WOW the Weinermobile is amazing, we’ve never seen anything like it before xxx
We love finding crazy things like a wienermobile!
Clapping wildly OMDs what fun and now I want an Oscar Mayer bologna sandwich.
My friend’s daughter had a fun job one summer after her first year of college. She drove the Hersey Chocolate Car all over the north east.
Hugs cecilia
That would be a cool job. Mom’s cousin’s daughter drives a red bull car to events in Upstate NY. So many fun jobs out there, who knew!
I LOVE the “Our Dog” license plate! The Weinermobile comes to town almost annually for some Walmart event. I’ve never seen it up close. Lucy and I will have to keep an eye out for it and do a photo shoot. Love the images.
It’s hard to get photos as they are usually parked like this one, up close to the store and/or they are flooded with families with kids. If you can find a weekday morning, that seems to be the best time.
I would have loved to join you to see this. I’ve never seen it for real. Beautiful shots.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
