Mom took me for a little victory walk at Nine Mile Creek since I did such a good job earning my L2I Title. It was a hot one but in the shade down by the creek it wasn’t quite as warm. It certainly was green and it also made our photos a bit more green than we had planned on with some of them. Being the green guy, I guess it is fitting.
The water is crystal clear which is nice to see. Believe it or not, I have never gone into a body of water of any sort and never been swimming. That being the case, I wasn’t interested in taking a dip to cool off. Note how long my tongue is, LOL.
This creek has lots of bridges crossing over it. We found three on our fairly short walk.
Here is a shot of the rapids the second bridge crosses over. It isn’t very deep which is good in case a dog wants to hop in, but I am not doing that.
We found another trail off the main one and thought it would be fun to see where it would take us. Not long after we started down the path we came across this tree blocking the route. Mom didn’t want to go under it so we turned back to the main trail.
Here is some more creek water. I like it better as it isn’t moving. Not having any water experience, I’m a bit concerned when I am too close to a lot of water.
Almost at the end of my victory walk we found some Minnesota June snow all over the place. It is funny stuff as it is not like winter snow at all and it blows around all over the place and floats on top of the water in the creek. Madison was the first one in our family to walk here back in 2023. Mom and I talked a lot about her on our walk. We both miss her but she is with us all the time in spirit and in our hearts. Hope you had a nice little walk with us.
I’m joining my friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard for their Nature Friday blog hop.

What a beautiful shady walk, Nelson! Are you sure you don’t want to take a dip?!
I have no interest in water, never have so Mom figures there is no need to have me start now. Emma was a water hound but she spent most of her puppyhood on the North Sea Coast in Germany at the beach every day. Since then water interest in the rest of us has gone down. Mom doesn’t want us drinking it either so none of us really take a dip.
I envy you, having a walk like that!
It’s a pretty place and not too many people around either.
Looks like a lovely, if not really warm, walk.
The shade and being down in a canyon keep it cooler.
What a great walk! Your tongue is quite long. Looks like a beautiful spot- the June snow is really cool. Have a great Friday! your friend Chester
I have along tongue to match my long body, ears, and tail, just my legs are short, LOL!
That was a beautiful walk Nelson, a great way to celebrate! You live in such a pretty area, Mama and Daddy are headed up for a family reunion in Northern Minnesota next month and are looking forward to all the green (but hope all the “snow” is gone BOL)
xoxo,
Rosy & Sunny
Too bad you guys can’t come along. Northern MN is also super nice and different from the rest of the state.
I love going on these walks with you
I’m glad. Too bad it is not in person.
The Zs and I are jealous!
We love walking and Mom gets bored easily so we walk lots of different places.
Nelson that is a lovely area for a victory walk. and you could cool your paws in the creek too
Hugs cecilia
Yeah, no. I am not interesting in getting wet. Water is kind of weird. Other than soaking my beard in the water bowl, I avoid going into water.
That’s sure a pretty area for a walk Nelson, the water does look pretty!
It is so clear, Mom says she could almost drink it, but she won’t.
This walk was a delight, I’m so glad you took us along, and congratulations again!
Thank you. It was fun to do a little celebration with just me and Mom, the two in Team Lime Green.
What a well deserved and wonderful looking walk! I think we might have been tempted to walk into that creek for a sip if we were as thirsty as you look!
I have no interest in water. Mom finds it a bit odd, but Olivia is the same way. She even took pool lessons as a young pup but doesn’t like water.
Oh Nelson ~ awesome photos of you in a beautiful place ~ Bravo to you on your awards ~ you deserved this walk ~ hugs,
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

It was a nice ending to a fun afternoon of sniffing.
I do believe your tongue is as long as your ears, Nelson! Thanks for taking us on a lovely walk-about.
It is pretty long. Everything about me is long except for my legs.
