Decisions, decisions, what will I choose for my birthday treats this year? We are all thankful to have the Three Dog Bakery practically out our back door, but they have so many tasty things deciding is really hard.
I like to take a tour around the store before getting serious. The toys and clothes are not so interesting but the treats and chews always smell so good. Mom bought Nelson’s birthday tie here and one of Olivia’s birthday hats too.
Now this is the best part of the store. All these bones and chews smell so good and the desserts inside the cases look so tasty. I gave Mom “the look” to say, I think I’m ready to do some tasting and make a decision.
The owner is so nice and always lets me taste a few things so I can be sure we will like them. I have decided on what I would like to have for my party. It is something we have not had before but it is yummy. I’ll give you a hint, It is in this display case but It could be on one of these shelves or one higher up that isn’t in the photo. Mom and I are excited as they look fabulous, have purple on them and taste wonderful.
Around the corner I stood up to place my order with the owner. Decisions, decisions, I’ve made mine for this year’s party. It sounds like she has what I would like on hand so we can take it home with us. Mom also let me pick out some small snacks to take home for the three of us pups to have as a snack since they didn’t get to come along with us.
Mom paid, thank dog because I didn’t have any money with me! Before leaving I got another small snack and some nice scritch scratches from the owner. I’m super excited to serve up my choice at my party. Decisions are not easy but this one is the right one!

It really is hard to pick just one thing but I did it and I know it will be a winner.

Mom is stingy, one treat for the birthday and one to bring home to my siblings who didn’t get to go to the bakery with me.
we love this wonderful birthday ritual when you go to the bakery to buy the wonderful things for the birthday party… we wish we could do that too…
Then you wouldn’t have the baking fails to post about 😉 At least your fails taste good it seems.

That is kind of true. Mom likes the lead up to the actual birthday so we know it is a special time.
