Can you tell I’m happy about the summer flowers I found for my post today? Mom says my body acts its age but my silly self is still nuts like it was as a puppy and she loves it. Having fun, being funny, and smiling are the best! Now let’s see what I found on my walk without rain earlier this week.
Being purple girl, I always love finding anything purple. This flower is a light purple, Mom says it lavender, but it is in the purple family. Remember, Mom isn’t into gardening so she doesn’t know what kind of flowers we find.
Here’s one we do know, a yellow lily. These are all over and popping up almost like weeds in everyone’s yards.
These flowers are pretty and we do love bright colors. They are in the purple family if you ask me. Maybe a deep pink, but I think more purple.
Wait, what is that flower? No, it isn’t a flower at all, it is a rabbit. Don’t tell Mom, but I had to sneak in a photo that is more exciting than any flowers. Did you know Mom had a rabbit as a pet when she was growing up? Now, although she still loves rabbits she wants then to all disappear. Nelson can’t control himself around them and being so strong, it is dangerous. Yesterday the two crazies pulled Mom over and dragged her across an asphalt path because they saw a rabbit. Mom came home from that walk not in a good mood, and her freshly, skinned, elbow was bleeding all over from a trip over the asphalt. Her shorts were also dirty from being dragged. Such naughty siblings I have!
Alright, back to the flowers. These are my vote for most cheerful. They make one smile as they look like happy flowers if there even is such a thing.
Hope you enjoyed my walk and a few summer flowers. Everything will only grow more and get greener with the few inches of rain we’ve had the past two days. Happy Friday to all!
I’m joining my friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard for their Nature Friday blog hop.

The flowers you found are all beautiful, Bailie, and you do look so happy sitting in them. We are so sorry that happened to your mom. Shame on you, Olivia and Nelson!
Wet grass is like ice so Mom tries to avoid it with those two but she didn’t know the rabbit was in the grass on the other side of the trail. Nelson is super strong.
You had a grand walk with all those lovely flowers. Olivia and Nelson need to remember they are attached to your Mom on walks. Not good to pull and make her fall – no treats for you 2.
They were both in the dog house most of the day yesterday.
what wonderful flowers and even a bonus bunny… happy furryday to you
Bunnies everywhere right now. Mom is losing her mind with all of us rabbit obsessed hounds.
Those are some beautiful flowers today Bailie…and we LOVED seeing tht bunny(although our Mom feels like yours and would like them all to go away)!!
xoxo,
Rosy & Sunny
Most people are not happy they are all over the place. We would like to get them all but Mom says we can’t be off leash so no luck.
Lovely variety of flowers! Now IF the bunny was purple… Bambi had a skunk for a friend, and her name was Flower – does that count? DO NOT….I repeat…DO NOT go looking for skunks!!
No, we smell them sometimes when we are in the car and Mom says it is a stinky kitty.
Tell Nelson he needs to treat mom better. I loved getting on your walk and seeing all the beautiful florrd
Nelson has a wild side. He means no harm, but he is so strong.
OMSa you most certainly found lots and lots of beautiful posies. You are still the star of the flower bed though
Hugs Cecilia

Thank you.
That is such a wonderful smile! Hey, those are pretty flowers and that’s a pretty cool bunny!
We are overrun with rabbits this year!
I love the flowers, too, even though most of the time I have no idea what they are. You also have a beautiful smile.
As for the rabbits and your siblings, I wish I could offer a solution.
We don’t need to know what kind of flowers they are as we just enjoy seeing them.
Beautiful flowers and an adorable smile. Outstanding on both counts.
Awww, thank you.
