We are all happy to have a new routine for our mornings. Mom has run her whole life but she last ran the day Madison passed away. The following morning she injured her foot, which took a while to heal. Spring came but how could she run with me, and then do two more walks? She didn’t want to take us all separately but she was afraid Nelson and Bailie would be too strong. Despite Nelson and I “taking Mom for a ride” numerous times in the past nine months, she felt it was her best option. He had always walked with Madison as she was small and a rule follower.
Mom has really missed running and sometimes it even made her cranky. Last week she decided she could not continue the not running in the mornings. She got new running shoes, and off we went. Nelson isn’t a running type and Mom would not trust the two of us to run together. She claims she “values her life too much” for that. We started running right where we left off and have had several nice runs so far and we are both quite pleased.
This, of course, means Nelson and Bailie are walking together in the mornings. Amazingly, they make an excellent team. Both are rabbit crazy but Nelson isn’t as wild as he was with me, and Bailie is also more mellow. Bailie enjoys walking with another dog too and doesn’t constantly seem to be bored. Everyone seems to be happy with our new routine, but Mom is most happy to be back running.
My GBGV Life is happy, so we’re joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!

It sounds like the new routine is working out great and everyone is happy!
Mom is surprised as she didn’t think the new routine would work out at all but it seems to be wonderful for all.
how great that you found a solution and now your mom can start her day with the things she likes… dogs and running
She always starts our day with walks but she really isn’t happy if she doesn’t get to run a few miles in the morning. Now that problem is solved.
Wonderful, your Mom has figured it all out. Run Happy!
We both love to run and we always run when we are in a trial too. It’s so fun!
Oh so happy for you all running together ~ a win win ~ hugs,

We both missed our morning runs but not anymore.
A good routine is always a good thing and often you need to change things to make them work better. Your babies are so precious.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches to the pups and a hug to mom. ♥
We will have to change things again for winter but for now we are all set and a happy bunch.
We are so glad your Mom is back to running, happy Moms are always more fun!

She is much happier when she runs and I love to run too so we both are happy.
Well YAY Mom back to running is great news…..Happy Mom Happy Days for sure
and your two are the power walking team.
Hugs cecilia
Bailie isn’t much for power walking but she walks better when Nelson is walking with her. Mom likes it too.
Yay! We love that you found a new routine that works. We are so glad your mom is running again. Mom hasn’t been running — moving into our new house and trying to establish our routines has been tricky. But she thinks she has found a route that will work for her. She runs then she comes to get me and we walk. I like that routine! Today we went to a lake nearby! Very cool to visit. Have a great day! your friend Chester
Congratulations on a new home! We didn’t know you were moving. Mom loves exploring new routes and we keep expanding. We are all happy with our new routine and it works well for us for now. Happy Tuesday!
What a wonderful solution to getting more exercise and Mom time!
So far it is working out pretty well and we are all happy.
Hooray for a good solution! I’m so glad this worked out.
It is going well so far.
I’ll bet your Mama is really pleased to get back to the daily jaunt!
She loves to run and only wants to run with a dog. It seems to be a good solution for everyone.
Happy for you. (Envious, too.) Never a runner, but still waiting for the leftover pain/stiffness of a torn meniscus to be gone to at least return to longer daily walkabouts. Of course, 90-plus temps and high humidity going away would be helpful too … not an easy summer this year, and often already mid 80s early morning.
We have a heat and humidity wave and then a couple really cool days, then back to the sauna. Not out weather at all. Hope your injury heals so you can do more.
Outstanding! Congrats that everyone is doing well and enjoying the new routine.
It is working pretty well so far.
