Happy Tuesday today from our mom. Today is a special day, July 22nd. Mom took a selfie with me as I am part of the reason for the happy. If you have followed us for several years you will remember this day in 2021. Mom ran with Olivia and Madison early in the morning and then took me for what was supposed to be an hour walk. Part way into the walk she felt funny and very tired. She wanted to lie down and sleep on the side of the path. I would not let her sleep. It got worse.
Finally she realized she didn’t have energy and would not make it home so she called a neighbor to pick us up. This is not something she would ever do but she wanted to be home. At home she agreed to go to the urgent care because something wasn’t right. She could not sit in the car and they ended up stopping and calling 911. Almost immediately in the ambulance they told Mom she was having a massive heart attack. From there it was lights and sirens to the hospital where a team was waiting and took her right into the operating room to put in a stent.
It was a widow maker heart attack that most would have died from quickly but because Mom is pretty fit and is a fighter, she survived. She says it was nothing at all like she thought a heart attack would be but it was one. For two days we survived at home with the neighbors watching us while Mom recovered. She wanted to cuddle with us all so much but was stuck in the hospital.
Every day she is so happy to be alive and thankful for me keeping her from lying down and sleeping. She would have never woken up. We rarely walk on that path anymore as she has a fear of it. I was also there when Mom broke her ankle while we were on a run in a snowstorm, and when she smashed her collarbone while we were doing nose work. Mom takes good care of me and I do the same for her.
Because of the event four years ago today she decided to do what she wants to do when she wants to do it as you never know how long you have. Some think we are a bit of a crazy family, but it is how we like it and it makes us happy. We are all happy we have our Mom and as much as we try to keep her safe, she is an expert at having stupid things happen anyway.
Happy Tuesday to all today. Do something today that makes you really happy!
My GBGV Life is happy, so we’re joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!

We are so happy that your mom made it through this very scary ordeal and she can talk about it today. We know how much all of you love your mom!
This day is always on her mind and we are happy it all worked out.
We are all very, very happy you take such good care of your Mom! We send you wishes for a long and healthy life ahead.
We all hope something like that never happens again.
THANK GOD your mom survived – and realized how short life can be, so she is not putting things off. We here are wising her a long, happy life! Jimmy Parker, Olive, and Lydia!
We all want a long happy life but sometimes no matter what you do, things happen.
I do remember that very scary post and picture of Mom recuperating….What a wonderful way to celebrate happy Tuesday. HUGS x 4 to you all and many thankfuls Mom is fit
Hugs Cecilia
Nelson wasn’t even born so he has no idea what a day that was but we girls know and are so happy Mom made it. I try to take care of her but she isn’t very good about following my orders.
Thank you for saving Mom. What would we all do without her. She is the best.
We are SOOOO glad your Mom not only survived, but is back to walking and running. She is such a great inspiration to so many of us!!
xoxo,
Rosy & Sunny (and Beth)
It was such a strange thing that happened but it most likely was triggered from the stress of being told or six weeks she had lung cancer but it turned out to be a rare auto immune disease instead. Now she is back to where she was, just older.
Happy Tuesday Mom, so great you are better!
It was a scary morning for everyone and so out of the blue.
We are grateful your Mom is doing well with all you doggies and living well ~ Happy Anniversary and many more healthy ones ~ hugs,

We all hope for continued good health.
We’re thrilled mom made it through this ordeal. Very happy. I know mom takes great care of herself too. What a happy post.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Big hugs to mom and scritches to the pups. ♥
She does but it goes to show you what stress can do. Bodies are weird things but we have them and have to deal with what they give us.
I’m so very thankful to still have my friend. If it can happen to someone as fit as you, it can happen to anyone. Thank you for taking care of your mom.
Mom never worried about something like that happening but it did most likely from the stress of the previous months. Bailie kept her going and it all worked out so well.
Whoa. That is an important day to remember– so glad we can all remember it together. Nice Work, Bailie. Ever vigilant, ever loving! Have a day full of snuggles, good activity, and smiles. Your friend Chester
I’m the one who is very emotionally tied to our mom. Everyone loves her and has a bond but I am so sensitive to her feelings. I think I knew something was really wrong. It’s just a good thing she made it.
I remember that day. You all helped with her recovery – dog snuggles are the best medicine!
We are the best health team she has and she hated being away from us in the hospital for two days.
Thankful everything turned out ok that day! Hope you’re doing well!
It should have not worked out but because Mom was so healthy and determined and me and the neighbor helped her, it all turned out fine.
Every day is a blessing, your mom is one of the people who lives like it.
She does and some think she is crazy but we don’t care. We do what we want to do if we can. Tomorrow is never guaranteed.
Happy Tuesday indeed ! And many more !
Hopefully many, many more!
I remember reading that scary news too and I’m so glad you fought your way back where you belong!
There were about six months I will never forget even though I would like to but most of all, I made it and I enjoy life every day.
We knew she had a heart attack but didn’t realize it was the widow maker variety. Sooooo glad she was quickly treated and survived. Blessings to your mum for being so fit-no doubt that saved her along with quick treatment.
It was a perfect storm of sorts and we are all very happy she survived. The day stays in her mind every day and she will never forget it. We rarely walk on that path since that day. Mom is afraid of it but we have gone on it a couple times.
You for me and me for you … caring.
I knew something was really wrong with Mom before she did and I wanted her keep going.
