Nelson got mail, making more history for our breed in AKC Scent work. This is his overall Masters Certificate. He becomes the third ever GBGV to earn this title which is so fun! AKC Scent Work began in September 2017 but was not in our area until the fall of 2018. Emma never got to try it but the rest of us have been competing in it since November 2018. It’s fun seeing all the different ribbons as clubs order them for their trials which means each club has different looking ribbons.
Now for some #ThrowbackThursday info. I, no surprise, Olivia, earned my Overall Masters Title on February 20th, 2022 at two years and eleven months old. Of course, I am the first GBGV to earn an overall Masters Title and I am proud of my accomplishment. I have so many firsts in sniffing with AKC and NACSW, it is super fun and Mom is proud of our Team Orange!
Finally on September 28th, 2024 our sweet Madison earned her Overall Masters Title being the second GBGV ever to earn the title. It is an accomplishment she can be proud of and remembered for forever. She enjoyed sniffing sports but more than anything she enjoyed seeing people she knew. Pink was her color and believe it or not, all four of her Masters Element Titles are pink ribbons. Only the overall ribbon is not.
Then we have Bailie, no Overall Masters Title but she does have two Masters Element Titles from 2021 in Exteriors and Containers. Her last one was Master Containers on October 2nd, 2021. She doesn’t have any desire to trial so she probably won’t be getting her overall title, but you never know.
We are all thankful to be the trail blazers in sniff sports for our breed. It is what we were born to do and if we are properly trained, we are amazing sniffers.
We’re joining Brian’s Home Blog in the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Congratulations to all of you. You are all such talented and hard working pups along with your mom!
We love our work and we love showing others what our breed can do.
congratulations to nelson and to you all… there is such a good feeling if you can harvest the fruits of all the work YAY!
And to be the first ones ever for our breed makes us proud.
A HOUSEOLD OF CHAMPIONS!! YOU SHOULD BE PROUD! Remember to send these accomplishments to the GBVCA for records!
They get all the info from the AKC and know who does what.
Congratulations to all of you for being trailblazers in this sport!
Now we need some more GBGV’s to get started.
What a wonderful thankful and throw back today. We love seeing all of your pack blazing the trail for GBGVs!!
xoxo,
Rosy & Sunny
Hopefully one day other GBGVs will join us in our sniffing sports.
Trailblazers for sure!! Wowee! We are really impressed. Congrats to Nelson. We love the ribbon colors. If we had a club we would pick blue or red for our colors. Awesome work!! your friend Chester
We love all the variety and styles of ribbons we get with titles. It makes our walls brighter 🙂
PAWESOME! Congrats to all of you, including Angel Madison! I love that all 3 GBGVs with Overall Masters titles are in the same family!!
We wish Bailie would perk up and get her last two elements but hope is pretty much gone. She isn’t interested in competing.
Bravo to you Nelson ~ wow! and to all your talented siblings and especially your Mom ~ lots of work for all ~ again Congrats ~ hugs,

Lots of work but even more fun and we all love it, Mom included.
BRAVO and paws up to all. And especially to your extraordinary Mom … for it is she who has devoted hours and love and energy to train each of you, to take you to the levels you have all achieved. Together you are a team, reaching your goals. Be proud of your shared accomplishments!
We are very proud to represent our breed in lots of sniff sports and to bring home titles and placements that will forever be in the record books. Hopefully one day other GBGV’s will start doing sniffing sports too.
I’m doing the Happy Dance. Way to go.
Have a woof woof day and rest of the week. Scritches all around and a hug to mom. ♥
Thank you. It is fun having so many firsts for the breed. Olivia usually takes all the firsts but I’m happy to be second or third.
NELSON well done and OMDs… “This is his overall Masters Certificate. He becomes the third ever GBGV to earn this title which is so fun! ” and you have fun
Hugs cecilia
We love being first in things. Our names will be there forever which is so cool.
Impressive. I love watching the videos. Even the one of Bailie at grandmas house.
Thank you. We try to post videos randomly.
WOW, WOW, WOW, y’all are amazing and big congratutions from all of us. Thanks for joining Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
We are very happy to have so many titles and to represent our breed and what we can do. Hopefully more of us will get into sports.
Your noses know, and I’m glad you all get to use them if you want to.
It is what we were born to do but most GBGV’s don’t get to do what we do.
Way to go, Nelson. You’re amazing!
Olivia and I both love our sports and making history only adds to the fun.
