Today Nelson and I are serving up a bit of this and that from our walk. We only get to walk together on weekends or when we travel which makes our walks extra special. The temperature has really dropped and is almost the same number as the dew point which makes fog. Behind us you can see the light fog still lingering around. It’s actually kind of pretty as long as it doesn’t stay for too long.
Our walk was about an hour and a half. We stopped at Pahl’s Market to see what they had out in their lot but there wasn’t anything too exciting. Soon they will decorate for fall and then it will look amazing again. We do love their corn on the cob sign. Their corn on the cob is super yummy according to Mom. She buys some from them every year. They remodeled the store part of the property and the sign is new. We think it is a good idea.
Next we went for a walk around the little lake and stopped at the fishing pier for a photo. It was such a gorgeous morning and we are happy there was no one out fishing on it yet.
Finally we ended up on a short trail into the woods. No rabbits or deer were seen, just squirrels everywhere. Squirrels drive us mad but we don’t love them like we do rabbits.
We thought it would be nice to end with some cheery fall flowers that are blooming all over the place now. That concludes our nice walk. We made it back home, got breakfast and then nap time.
I’m joining my friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard for their Nature Friday blog hop.

that is a good place for a walk… and we love the flowers… they are like little extra suns ;O)
Sort of like the little “sun” flower you have today too.
There is nothing better than corn when it’s in season although the truth of the matter is that mom cuts the corn off the cob and enjoys it even more. We love the corn sign and the pretty yellow flowers!
Corn on the cob is big here. Mom likes it on the cob but will eat it either way. A lot of people buy it in bulk, cut the corn off the cob and freeze it. Mom has a tool for taking it off the cob.
We are hoping that we are done with the really hot days for this year, too. A little fog seems to make everything quieter.
It was only 43 degrees this morning, so wonderful!
That was a lovely walk. Thanks for sharing.
We love our walks.
What a fun walk, with so much to see!!!

Lots of nature, not so many specific things.
Nice walk! I am taking my nap now, too, after our walk. We live in a new neighborhood, and it is great for walks. Thanks for sharing your walk. Your friend Chester
We have breakfast after our morning walk and then crash for a while but Mom has to stay awake and work. Glad you and your mom are back to walking.

We all love our walks, including our leader, Mom.
Thanks for taking us along on your walk. We like the new corn sign!
The corn sign is a good addition to their business.
A lovely walk, seems we all took a walk in the woods this week!
I guess it was woods week and we didn’t even know it.
That was a nice nature walk, you two did great!
This and that was pretty cool, guys! What a fun walk the two of you had.
Looking for odds and ends, nothing extraordinary.
It’s a beautiful walk, I’m glad you got to share it with us.
We love our walks in the morning.
