I’m letting the cat out of the bag about my upcoming sniffing adventure. I’ve started to pack some items like my cooler for treats when I find hides and my Furballz to hang out with. Remember Nelson posted about his FastCAT Invitational recently? Well, I’m going to be sniffing for a few days, before he does his FastCAT running.
This year is the first ever AKC Scent Work Master National. Four hundred dogs will be competing over three days to find the best sniffers. Any dog with a Scent Work Master or Master Elite Title could enter. The first two days will be searches to determine the one hundred dogs who move on to the finals on day three. Mom and I love to compete and since it is something new and different, we thought it would be fun to give it a whirl.
I earned my Master Title a month before I turned three on 2/20/2022, when I was 2. See the pattern there with “2”? I even got an orange ribbon! Our goal is to make it to the finals, that means being in the top twenty five percent of the dogs entered. We are now ramping up our practicing. It is going to be a challenge for sure but one that we will enjoy as Team Orange. We also want to represent our breed. Our family has the only GBGV Masters Titles in AKC Scent Work. I was first, then Madison and finally Nelson. It is important for us to show ourselves off and to let the world know what all we are capable of. Nelson will be doing the same in his FastCAT Invitational. Hopefully one day more GBGV’s will do sports.
We have about a month to go until we head off to Ohio for a week of sports and I’m ready to go now. If we have any interesting updates in the coming weeks we will let you know and we’ll also keep you posted when we are at our events. Mom, me and Nelson all love our sports and traveling which will make it a super fun week we think.
My GBGV Life is happy, so we’re joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!

The three of you are going to ace this and come home with lots of beautiful ribbons!
We have no idea what to expect at the Master National since it is the first one and we don’t know how good other dogs will be. The thing we do know is we are a pretty good team in sniffing so hopefully we will make it to the finals day. Stay tuned next month.
we hope you have tons of fun and many ribbons. it is great to see new places and new people that way…
We are excited for the challenges and to see who we know there and to meet others.
What a Grand adventure all of you will have!
It should be a fun week!
We bet you are pretty excited, we can’t wait to hear all about your adventure!
xoxo,
Rosy & Sunny (who think your Vikings did pretty good last night SKOHL!)
We can’t wait to see how the week goes! As for the Vikings it was so disappointing, we fell asleep in the 3rd quarter and then turned of the TV as they would not win. What a shocker to see the did win! We’re happy for our new QB and for Adam Thielen being back playing with our team where he belongs.
Oh Wow! Exciting adventure ahead ~ may you win ribbons and reach the Finals ~ great photos of you ~ hugs

We really hope to make it to the finals.
Mom will work out all the logistics and you’ll have a great time. Bravo.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches to the pups and a hug to mom. ♥
She always figures it out but then I have to do my best sniffing.
I’m so excited to hear all about it. You will definitely be in the top 25.
We just want to make it to the finals in the top 100 but to be in the top 25 would be a dream!
I can’t wait to see all the fun you have in The Buckeye State!
I think we will have a really fun time!
I pray you have good travels and good sports outcomes!
We are looking forward to a fun time with something different.
Best of Luck!!! and Bon Voyage. Your brother and sisters are fabulous ambassadors for our multitalented breed!!!
We love our sports and it is fun seeing lots of people and showing them what a GBGV can do. The best thing ever to go to a place where no one knows you or your breed and to walk away with an arm full of placement ribbons. They will always wonder, “who was that team and what kind of dog was that?” It happens a lot with us since we travel a lot.
Good luck on the upcoming adventure. I know you will put in the work to represent the breed well. Have a safe trip.
We are practicing extra leading up to that week.
We’re sure you’ve got this and will come up big with loads of ribbons.
If I can make it to the finals, that will be a big win. We don’t know how it will be since it is the first one and there will be dogs from all over most likely.
