Mom and I had a fall feeling on our morning walk the other day. It was in the low 40’s, there was a lot of gold, some fallen leaves and some leaves in bright colors already. We think the weather has all the plants and nature itself a bit confused.
We love our big, white snowball bushes at home but we also love the pretty pink ones that are popping up all over the place. They give off a whole different feeling from our white ones.
It was a perfect morning for a walk and being in the low forties it really gave us a fall feeling. The puddles from the rain the day before were still around but the sun was shining and it was very pretty outside. There was no wind, so I am not sure why my head furs were looking a bit odd.
We came across a very confused Maple tree. It seems to not have any clue what to do with its leaves. Some look like they have had too much water, others are a pretty green and then the red ones are more of a dark pink. Poor tree needs some help.
The plants around the ponds and streams we passed look fall like. They have a lot of dried plants or golden/yellow plants.
Here is another Maple tree that has some confusion but at least the part that decided to turn red for fall is really red. We would love to know why only certain parts of the tree are turning and the rest not at all.
One more photo of me with some fall looking foliage behind me. Early morning when the sun is just coming up seems to give the prettiest golden tones of all. Later in the day things are not quite as pretty.
I’m joining my friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard for their Nature Friday blog hop.

The flowers and trees look so pretty as they turn to their autumn colors. Thank you for taking us on your walk with you, Bailie!
Thank you. Now we enter a few day heat wave and the poor trees will be even more confused.
maybe the maple tree is unsure wich dress color to wear or if it should go nekked? so it tries all variations and at the end… it goes nekked ;O) fall is a magic season we love it a lot…
Lovely morning walk!
It is nice and pretty peaceful too.
Hi Bailie…OMDs I enjoyed several mornings in the 40’s while on vacation. It felt wonderful too
I love the foliage that perfectly matched your collar and leash. Happy Nature Friday
Hugs Cecilia
Now that heat and humidity is back we really miss the cooler air.
We agree, in the morning things are so much more clean and fresh!
We are in the part of year where it is in the 50s in the morning and high 80s in the afternoon…Weather is weird!

Rosy & Sunny
We love the cooler air but the heat and humidity is back in full force this weekend.
WOW, such beautiful and impressive nature photos!
Thank you.
I think plants and trees desperately try to hang on to summer for as long as they can, hence the mixed messages the give out!
We think they are confused when it is 90 one day and 50 the next. I think we are confused too.
Lovely autumn looking photos ~ sweet doggie photos ~ hugs,

Thank you.
YOU, are a STUNNER!! Lovely walk.
Thank you.
I hope fall weather comes to stay soon, along with more rain if you need it, it sounds like the trees need someone to tell them exactly which season is which.
Heat wave is here but only for about six days, then it will cool off again.
Such beautiful golden light! And those flowers…sensational. Have a great weekend enjoying those cooler temps.
Unfortunately, the heat and humidity is back for about a week so the A/C is back on and we are not thrilled about being outside.
Have no knowledge if it even publishes anymore, but if it does, must be almost “nightmarish” to do so – the old Farmer’s Almanac! None of us can figure out Mother Nature, not even she can figure it out herself anymore …
Just the same, lovely photos of a lovely walkabout.
The Farmers Almanac was always a thing according to Mom. She sees stuff about it sometimes on Facebook.
