Mom and I went on a beautiful fall day nature walk this week. The weather was perfect so I agreed to go on a short car ride to take our walk. I do love going to different places for walks, so I was excited for that and for mommy and me time.
It was eighty degrees, but no humidity and a light breeze. These days my arthritis keeps me from jumping on things and a few other activities but Mom helps me with that. Walking is good for me and I enjoy it. There are miles and miles of trails in the woods, open fields, and by water and swamps.
We didn’t find much in the way of flowers but we did find a few of these yellow ones.
Behind me is a swamp with lots of very tall cattails. We wanted to get a close up of a cattail but Mom didn’t want to fall into the swamp so we had to abstain from that idea.
In one picnic area there were these giant “rock blocks” that make a great place for a lady to sit for a photo.
One place in the woods we found all these mushrooms on a tree. They are rather fascinating in a way and ugly in another, but they are truly natural.
The sun was super bright, but I forgot to bring my sunglasses, LOL. Some of my photos have me squinting a bit.
Behind me is part of the lake. They have lots of benches for people to sit on that overlook the lake. My head furs show the light breeze but I don’t mind the tousled look. It was a fun time with just me and Mom. Hope you enjoyed a little sliver of nature from my neck of the woods.
I’m joining my friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard for their Nature Friday blog hop.

What a fun together time for you and your mom, Bailie. We love the cheerful yellow flowers and the gorgeous scenery!
It was really pretty out there and we hardly saw anyone else out and about since it was a weekday.
that was a wonderful fal walk… we love tree mushrooms they can look like real art
They are kind of ugly but interesting at the same time.
That was a lovely day for you and your Mom. You probably had a really good nap when you got home, too!
Since I had my long morning walk and then we went for this walk, I was pretty worn out. My energy isn’t what it used to be.
Mama says the thing she loves most about your state is all the beautiful wooded trails (and the lakes of course). We thing Autumn is the best time to get out and enjoy the beauty of nature and you sure found lots of pretty things on your hike!

Mama, Rosy & Sunny
You could walk forever in our state and never run out of trails. They are everywhere as are the woods and lakes. We are lucky.
Love the picture on the bench. It looks like a lovely walk. Thanks
It is a quiet and pretty place and the drive isn’t too long, thankfully.
Bailie what a lovely one on one outing with mom and oh the great scents of nature.
I once read that motion is lotion for our joints….so I too keep moving…like you said walking is good
Hugs cecilia
I’m happy walking and it isn’t painful, so I keep putting one paw in front of the others every day.
Gorgeous photos of you sweet doggie and your fall walk with Mom ~ hugs,

Thank you. I was a happy hound.
I’m so proud of you for hazarding a ride to get to spend mommy & me time! We use Regenease for Jimmy’s and my arthritis. It comes in a bottle and mom uses the pump option to spritz it onto our food. Remember top refrigerate it once it is opened. You will see results in just a week or so. Check it out!
I think you heard about it from when Mom reviewed it years ago with Katie. We worked with them on a couple posts. I’ve been taking it for about two years now and it does help.
That was sure a nice nature romp you had there!
It was a fun time with no one around, just me and my mom.
That’s a great place for a mommy and me outing!
I love mommy and me time and I will even deal with the car ride thing for a short ride if I have to.
Great photos from your “mommy and me” time. Looks like you both enjoyed the time together.
She likes going with me because I am easy and I deal with the car because I don’t have an option. We had a nice little walk.
