Olivia and I have been busy in our yard lately with some FastCAT practice and other oddities that are kind of fun or funny. Today we will show you a bit about what all we have been up to. This photo of me I call, “Look out, in coming!”
If I put one paw in front of the other, soon I’ll be the fastest hound in town! That is my rendition of the Santa Claus is Coming to Town song, One Foot in Front of the Other and Soon You’ll be Walking Out the Door. Hope you don’t get a Christmas ear worm from this thought of mine.
Olivia and I were going to race, but I got distracted when I saw my girlfriend out in her yard. I tried to keep running but it is hard when you are not looking where you are going.
Check out Olivia’s impression of an airplane landing! Her ears are the wings, nose is the nose of the aircraft, body is the fuselage and her tail is the tail of the plane. I guess we have a good imagination but Mom says Olivia does look like an airplane.
We can only chase for so long and then the wrestle stuff begins. I decided to grab my sister and look at her crazy eyes when she sees me!
Then I got a really good shot at biting her. I don’t bite down hard and hurt her, just a little bite so she knows I’m there.
Back to some solo FastCAT practice for me. I have my ears wrapped to keep them from creating drag when I run. Unfortunately, it looks ridiculous, so I will let them fly instead.
The race is on! Olivia challenged me to a real race across the yard. As always, I lost. She runs one to two miles per hour faster than me, so I don’t have a chance to win unless she falls.
As always, we have a lot of evening fun racing around together in our yard. I have to stay in shape and who knows, maybe I will break my previous speed record at the FastCAT Invitational. FastCAT practice is always fun and gets us out in the nature of our own backyard.
I’m joining my friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard for their Nature Friday blog hop.

You really do look like an airplane in that picture, Olivia! The two of you always have so much fun playing in your yard.
Mom says our yard has seen so much playtime over the years since she bought the house. The playful ones get older and slow down or pass and others keep on playing. We are thankful for a nice yard.
Love those action shots!!!!
We love action!
What fun!! Happy Friday to you hounds! your friend Chester
Hope you have a fun weekend!
We always love seeing the smiles on your faces when your zooming in your backyard!
xoxo,
Rosy & Sunny
We love to race in our yard. It is nice to have a safe place for us to be.
Love all the pictures but that tail. I have never seen a tail that straight in my life
Who knows what she was thinking at that moment? Usually our tails are not even above the height of our backs.
Oh it is wonderful to see you ‘fast cats’ ~ such fun you are having and Mom got great photos ~ love them all ~ hugs,

Thank you. Mom could watch us race and chase all day long and never have enough photos.
OMDs I can tell how happy you are from the toothy smile big eyes full of joy and the long ears flowing behind you
Hugs Cecilia
The need for speed is great and when we get going, we are oh so happy.
TERIFFIC shots! Invitational here we come! Hopefully next year, I will give you both a run for your money – I’m currently second (between you two). your Missouri cousin, Lydia Meldrum
Too bad you are not going this year. We won’t be doing it next year. We are officially retired from the sport. I’m only running since we are there anyway and I love to run so why not.
Y’all are seriously happy when running and romping!
We love racing and chasing with some wrestling on the side.
Happiness in action !
You are right about that!
Every single photo make us smile. Like smile really BIG. We scrolled down. Then scrolled back up again. More BIG smiles.
We really enjoy good playtime together!
Love you two’s practice antics. Too cute!
Chase and wrestle is the favorite game around here with the two of us.
It’s a joy to watch young animals run and play and romp and have a great time.
We sure do have a great time playing together.
You two are fast as lightning & adorable too! Sending smooches & belly rubs❣️ Kit, Kat, Rocky & Cali
Thank you. We have so much fun together!
