Last week on our way to Maine, we made a quick stop in Cooperstown, NY. The World Series was still going on and we thought it would be a fun place to see as we hear about it every year.
It was closed but not blocked off so we could walk around and take photos was we wanted. This big sign is up above all the baseball fields. One has to go down a lot of steps or a steep hill to get to the playing fields. Since it had been raining, we didn’t go down as it was a bit messy.
We visited on the day before Halloween which is why we found this cool, carved pumpkin.
Nelson then stumbled across this load of baseballs which are simply painted pumpkins. It is a cool idea for anyone into baseball.

Nelson tried to join these two kids who were playing some baseball but had no luck. Cooperstown is not for dogs who don’t know much about the game of baseball I guess.
The original reason for our stop here is the @greetingstour postcard mural We could not find it anywhere but then we stumbled upon it. I guess it is portable and is moved around on the grounds. This is the best photo we could get of all the pieces together.
Rain was coming back in, so we had to hit the road before it really started to come down again. For some reason, Mom and the Navigator are not fond of traveling with wet dogs in the car? So strange. It really is a fun place to see even if you are not into kids baseball. Going in the off season is a good idea as it isn’t crowded at all.

Even if you are not huge into baseball it has fun things to see.
You look like the umpire playing with the kids. I have been there as I am a big Yankee fan.

Our team is a bunch of losers because the owners don’t seem to care but still it was fun to see where the kids play their big games.
