Have you ever met a green furry guy named The Grinch? We read this Christmas book every year but we have never met The Grinch in the furs.
Sunday, I found myself with Max in the back seat of the car, not sure where we were headed. Mom seemed pretty excited about this little trip, though.
It turns out we were on the way to meet The Grinch, the green furry guy we have never met before. A fundraiser had popped up somewhere and Mom thought it would be a fun thing for us to do. Hmmm…I was not so sure but why not.
Mom knows I’m not real keen on strangers. I am a real mommy girl, and I have no interest in meeting other dogs but she still thought this would be fun so we went. She wore her Grinch shirt and planned to get my photo with the guy and then one of the three of us.
I, on the other paw, took one look at that freaky guy and said I’m outta here. She had to hold me tight as I really wanted to go back to the car.
Nelson let me borrow his green leash for the event and I was shocked when the green furry guy grabbed it. Hopefully he would not kidnap me! I could become a real life Max, yikes!
Maybe I can sniff him a bit to see if he smells like lime jello? I’m really wondering why Mom didn’t bring Nelson, Mr Lime Green, instead of me. How lucky I am, not!
This is the best photo we got of the three of us, not real “best” but it will have to do. Mom will know next time to find another victim, not me. I’m terrified as his big green paw comes near my furs.
Finally I realized that if I let them snap one halfway decent photo of me and this green furry thing, maybe I could go back to the car. This is the best we could get. Let’s be clear that snuggling with this dude was not my idea! Help!!! Why is this a happy Tuesday post? Mom was super happy to see the Grinch. Sometimes she is really weird!
My GBGV Life is happy, so we’re joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!

Thank goodness that you had your mom to hold you tight, Olivia. The Grinch doesn’t look very friendly to me – I mean – look at his face!
I am pretty sure I know why he has that name Grinch. I wanted no part of his green paws on me!
that is the best fotzo shooting ever… we laughed so much… thanks for bringing some good mood to us ;O)
You two should come with us next time, that would change the whole look of the photo set, LOL!
Oh our goodness!! We are smiling over here. It looks like you are at the vet getting a shot!! You poor thing. Not what you wanted to be doing that day. But your mom tried hard — as moms do. Good work not completely freaking out! That green guy looks to be toooo much! have a good day! your friend Chester
I’m such a mom’s girl. Rarely do I want to meet people or other dogs. I have my mom and my siblings and that is plenty. But, Mom wanted me to meet this creepy green guy, so I did it and now I don’t need to do it again.
Moms sure can be silly, can’t they?? We’re with you, that green guy is a bit scary!!
xoxo,
Rosy & Sunny
I nearly passed out when I saw that green paw heading over to pet me, yikes! Mom is still happy to have a photo of me with the Grinch, so I guess the experience was worth it.
Oh, Bailie!!! Sometimes you just have to humor your Mom and help her have fun pictures. Maybe the Grinch needed to add some interesting smells to that costume……
It should have smelled like bacon or something. Mom is satisfied with one decent photo, so I am done. Next year Nelson can go, I’m staying home. Nelson would probably howl at him.
OMDs Olivia I don’t know how in the world the Green Grinch could look so grumpy with you by his side…I bet he was smiling under that green grumpy grinch mask. You and Mom look quite cute. I expect Nelson was happy to let you use his leash if it meant he didn’t have to go.
First time I’ve heard of this but it is a fund raiser for animals and that is excellent
hugs cecilia
Nelson wanted to come along but Mom only wanted to bring one of us and I was the unlucky one. The Grinch is rather creepy but I survived and now I don’t have to do that again. Mom is happy, she got what she wanted, a photo of me with him.
I would be scared also. He really is ugly.
He is super creepy but he didn’t hurt me or anything, so I’m thankful for that.
How fun. I would have loved meeting the Grinch too. Great shots. Your mom does such wonderful things.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches to the pups and a hug to mom. ♥
Sometimes Mom is a bit crazy but we all go along. I just was too afraid of that green furry creature to have any fun but it is done.
Bailie ~ you are the best ~ There are ‘Grinches’ out there but you will keep Mom safe ~ lol ~ great photo ~ hugs,

He wasn’t cranky, just pretty scary looking.
Yeah, moms can be weird, and do goofy things at times, but just look at how happy you made her…and…she takes YOU to sports events/trials, so it think is it only fair for her to have a photo shoot with you.
Yeah, I guess so, but I can be a bit of a brat sometimes. I did it so at least I can cross it off my list.
Meeting the Grinch? Yes. Having you meet the Grinch? Not quite. It’s okay, next year, Nelson will probably enjoy going.
We have never seen an event where we could meet the Grinch, so who knows about next year but I can say, he is a creepy dude.
That was such a fun photoshoot, you look fabulous with the Green Machine!
I think Nelson would be a better fit but I did it and now I don’t need to see him again.
