Today I’m diving into the archives to find some puppy cuteness, which, of course, means photos of me in my first months. Even though I sometimes get tired of being photographed, it is sure nice to have so many photos to help remember things from the past.
Let’s start with this first photo of me right after being born on January 18th 2022. I think the world stopped for a moment because I was so adorable. One thing is sure, and that is that I was super tiny!
I was selected to wear the red, white, blue ribbon and along with that, I received my temporary name of “Banner”. It seems I was exhausted after the being born process.
Here’s a shot of me at seven weeks old. What a well behaved guy I already was!
Mom and my sisters picked me up on May 1, 2022. This photo was taken on the 3rd. Check out my jumbo front paw! My ears are also XXL. Thankfully, I grew into those items with some time.
I’ve always been a very sturdy fellow, loaded with muscle, even as a youngster. Did you know I tripped on my ears a lot my first year? They were sooo long!
Two weeks after arriving at my forever home, Mom loaded all four of us up in the car and we drove an hour to a FastCAT competition. My sisters were all running and I was along as a spectator and to meet new people and experience new places. Mom only took all four of us somewhere together twice. She says it was a lot of work!
Unfortunately, Madison was really injured in her first run so she stayed home the next day. Mom took me with Bailie and Olivia to FastCAT. On the way home we stopped for a little covered bridge photo. Little did I know, photos would become a huge part of my life. I think I am a natural at modeling, what do you think?
Later in May Bailie and Olivia took me along to a scent work trial in Wisconsin, my first time ever in Wisconsin. Naturally, we stopped at the creamery for a photo of us three.
In June, Mom took us all once again to an event. This time it was barn hunt and FastCAT. I always wonder why Mom didn’t have my kennel door open for this photo, but I guess she didn’t trust me.
In July, I turned six months old and took part in my first AKC Scent Work Trial. Look how well I did! You can’t trial until you are six months old, so I was like the youngest one there and had a ton of fun and ribbons.
September 2022 meant my first really big road trip and first hotel stays. Boy, it was a really long ride! We went all the way to Montana for Olivia and Bailie to do some nose work. I came along to play with people in the parking lot. On the way home, we went through Wyoming. Bailie and I were ready for modeling at this welcome center!
For my final puppy look back photo, I chose this one of all four of us with our own berets. The four of us were a wonderful group and we all miss our sister Madison so much. She was a special girl and a huge influence in my first two and a half years of life, kind of like a second Mom. I’m truly a lucky guy to have a wonderful home with so many opportunities and to be surrounded by girls all the time.

Well, if by any chance “the world didn’t stop” … my heart skipped a beat and I lost a breath or two there … at the puppy cuteness of you. Oh yes, oh yeah, indeed! And for the days, weeks and months that followed: NELSON!
I think I was adorable and cuddly looking and Mom agrees too.
Yes, Nelson, you were a super cute baby! Those pictures of all four of you together are precious.
We miss being a foursome but threesome isn’t bad.
what a wonderful baby boy you were … and now you are a super french hound… the best nose in all da land.
I’m a pretty good guy. Mom is still shocked at how perfect I am, she never imagined she would like having a boy.
NELSON OMDs you took puppy cuteness to an entirely new level
I was amazed at how short your ears were at birth and OMDS how quickly they grew by 7 weeks.
I too am very thankful Mom snaps lots of photos especially with Madison who was your mentor
hugs cecilia
It was a sad weekend at barn hunt without her as she loved that sport so much. My ears are still super long as is my tail and body but I don’t mind being long.
You were and are exceptionally cute. Hugs
Thank you. I get told all the time how good looking I am but Mom is happy I don’t let it go to my head, it is just me, Nelson, the happy guy.
You were such an adorable puppy, Nelson, and you’ve grown into the most handsome boy! We love the last picture of the four of you in your French berets!
That is a photo Mom loves and she is so glad she took it!
Nelson, you have some of the cutest baby pictures ever. And yes, I’m sure they trigger fond memories for your Mom.
Nelson ~ precious photos of you as a puppy ! Great photos of the 4 of you in your berets ~ hugs,

I was a cute, silly puppy, now I’m a good looking guy with a fun personality and good manners.
What a cutie you were…and such a handsome guy you turned into, Nelson! We are so glad you and your pack found each other!

Mom still can’t believe how awesome I am as she never wanted a boy. Now she isn’t sure she want’s another boy as he probably won’t be as awesome as I am!
Those were all fun to see, you’ve sure got a wonderful home and a fabulous life!
I’m a pretty lucky guy and I get to live with girls all around me too.
THNKS for the trip down memory lane! I love your first stack photo and the four color-coded berets!
Stacking went by the wayside a while ago, but when I was little I did it pretty well.
You have been special and precious since the day you were born. I’m so glad you share your puppy photos with us.
It is fun to look back every year and see how I was in the beginning and how I am now.
And you’re still adorable, Nelson!
Thank you. I was kind of a chunky little one but my figure came in eventually.
