The morning our world froze, or started to freeze, Nelson and I got out in the yard to burn off some energy. As we raced together we talked about what we wanted to do since it would be bitter cold below zero for several days. Despite temperatures in double digits below zero we have gone out to play for short stints when the wind wasn’t blowing too much.
I was racing as I always do. Running is my jam and I don’t seem to ever get enough of it.
Nelson tries to keep up with me and then he grabs me to slow me down…if he can catch me to grab! I fly like the wind and he doesn’t fly as well as I do.
It is more fun if I let him grab me now and then. I can defend myself if he gets too rough.
Here’s a little smushy face photo of the two of us. Is this what humans mean when they talk about togetherness? Hope you can get out and have some fun too today!
My GBGV Life is joining Comedy Plus for Awww Monday.

You two look like you’re having so much fun despite the freezing temps. I’m not sure how much snow we got. Mom was out at 4:30am shoveling so I could get out to do business and she didn’t think to measure it. It’s at least a foot, which is too much for me. Stay warm and safe!
Ha, ha, spoiled guy you are! Mom doesn’t shovel for us, we have to blaze our own trails and do our business by trampling down some snow. Enjoy it, we would take a foot any day.
I just love you guys. I hope you had fun!
We had a lot of fun, love winter here!
the eyes and the ears… the indicator for happy hounds…
Olivia’s crazy eyes and all our flopping ears are always fun for photos!
OH MY DOGs you two know how to make your very own fun and seize the moment with such JOY
Hugs Cecilia
We do have a lot of fun and it is a good thing.
BRRRR…. so fun to watch from inside, on our computer! We have a wind chill of -20!! Us girls usually sleep near each other, but today mom found us snuggled up with each other! Olive and Lydia.
We had -45 windchill on the weekend but we still were out for walks when we got up just shorter than usual. Keep running and you won’t be cold.
Can’t get any better than this! Super dooper snow pups!
We love the cold and snow.
I’m glad you got to get some romping time in before the freeze happened!
We still go out and run around but in short stints because of the cold.
Wahoo! Snow zoomies are the best!! Once again…our snow only lasted for the morning, so we didn’t get to play in it much.
xoxo,
Rosy & Sunny
You are getting really ripped off in the snow department. How sad is that? Hope you had a little time to play in it before it disappeared.
Good thing you got a little outside time. Now you can relax inside and stay warm.
We love to go out, even in the super below zero cold but we can’t stay out very long and then we have to come back in.
Sweet doggies having fun despite the cold temps ~ !! Way to go ~ ^_^
We are buried in the ‘white stuff’ ~ had to go out a window to shovel a drift across the deck door so Ziggy could get out ~ Yikes~ hugs,
carol and ziggy (an artist reflects)
LOL! We would love a good load of snow here but none is in sight. Hope you are feeling better.
omg it is cold here! We have 8 inches of snow and ice and reallllyyy cold temperatures! But mom has been keeping her promise to walk me everyday! Today she thought of your mom because she wore her Icebugs and was so happy she had them! And, I had on my shoes too. I didn’t like them at first, but I have grown to appreciate them. Now I am snoozing on my bed — a good day so far! Have a great day. your friend Chester
We’ve had double digits below zero for four days now and that means we have to wear our PAWZ Boots. We girls don’t mind but Nelson keeps taking them off in the house while Mom is getting ready. She is wearing her icebugs too. Sadly, we only got cold, no snow. Enjoy the snow you have! Glad you sound like you are alright.
You’re having such a wonderful time. I know how much you and your mom love the snow. Enjoy the day and week.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches to the pups and a hug to mom. ♥
We are a true winter family, dreading the return of summer but it happens every year. Winter is the season we enjoy as long as we have it.
Lucy goes outside to take care of business, runs the fence like to check for bunny intruders, eats a little fresh snow and returns to the house to occupy her favorite chair by the window and watch me shovel snow off the driveway.
We like to watch Mom shovel too. Sometimes we are in the yard while she shovels but it has been too cold for us to be out for very long so we watch her shovel from the front window.
I was one of the pack today. Out of habit use and 5:15. Not fun
It looks like kind of a mess in NYC from what we have seen. Hope you and Clover are alright even if you got up way too early for your normal.
Watching you two have fun in the snow is a delight.
We sure do love it and have a ton of fun!
You crazy kids! No going out for fun until it gets warmer. We’re wusses. Have fun!
We still go out and play but for short spurts and running around is the best way to stay warm.
