Happy Napping Day! Did you know today is that day? Don’t fall asleep on us, finish checking out our post first! This day was created as a way to compensate for the hour we all lose because of the time change (except for the lucky ducks in Arizona). I think this is one holiday that pretty much everyone can get behind.
When it comes to napping, I’m probably the biggest napper in the family, mainly because I’m older. We read that adult dogs get six to eight hours of sleep during the night, and then we nap another four to eight hours throughout the day. Most of my day is spent in my favorite cozy bed next to Mom’s desk in our office. She works at her desk most days and I get to be close to her while I’m sleeping. Sometimes I even talk during my naps.
Olivia naps quite a bit too but she moves around. Sometimes she is in the wicker den in the office, sometimes in the soft bed next to it and once and a while she will be on the fur bed on the couch in the living room.
Nelson naps the least and is also the youngest. Most of the time he prefers to nap on a harder surface like the office bench, or the floor. He naps a lot on the ottoman in the living room as he has a view of a lot of things from there.
There are so many good spots for a snooze at our house but the very best naps are when we are all napping together in Mom’s office (aka motivation center) while she works. It gives us all a super cozy feeling. Sometimes Mom even lays on the floor with her head on my bed and takes what she calls a power nap for ten minutes. Studies have shown that one or more short naps during the day can help increase productivity and alertness. She agrees with the finding. Happy Napping!
My GBGV Life is joining Comedy Plus for Awww Monday.

Your mom’s office is awesome and so colorful and special with all of your ribbons! Don’t worry about napping anytime of the day, Bailie. My mom does it all the time. She could be watching her favorite TV show and I look at her and she’s snoozing away.
Mom falls asleep watching TV all the time. Thankfully she can watch the shows again later to see how they ended. Our office is out motivation center. When Mom is frustrated with work, she looks around and remembers she works so we can do what we all love.
we love your gbgv headquarter, that is wonderful!!! and we love this day.. lets take a nap… yes!!
We had our walks and breakfast, it’s time for the first nap of the day!
Your motivation room is really impressive! Happy napping.
We are starting our first naps now.
First, I love the ribbon room and that you each have your own place to nap. I’m like mom. I lay on the floor with clover and take a nap mine usually is for an hour.
Now Mom doesn’t feel so weird for her floor naps with me 🙂
We are also big fans of napping, in our house it’s Sunny that takes the most naps (because of her meds) and I, Rosy, who likes power naps between my outside adventures!
xoxo,
Rosy
I nap the most as I am older but the other two do a good amount of napping too.
Your headquarters are amazing! Happy napping!
Napping is a wonderful thing!
Oh you adorable doggie ~ you nap so well ~ awesome photos and love Mom’s office ~ Wow! ~

We call the office our motivation center but it still is a great place for napping.

It was never planned. Mom started to hang some photos then came some certificates and ribbons and it morphed into what we have now. We love it and it is a great place to all be together and the three of us to nap.
Awww, so precious and I love your trophy room. Impressive. Not as impressive as your babies though.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches to the pups and a hug to mom. ♥
We are responsible for our motivation center. Maybe we get tired looking at it, not sure but we love snoozin’ around the office while Mom works and she likes seeing our accomplishments.
How cool that you all can nap together! It’ll take us at least a couple of weeks before we can acclimate to DST. It makes Mum grumbly to say the least since she’s a morning person. To her it feels like the best part of the day is gone when she gets up and she gets up early!
Our mom is a morning person too. We are all up 4:30-5am every day of the week and on the road walking before 6. Sunday we slept in until 6 which was devastating for Mom but now we are back to the usual time. We just want the time to stop changing and stick with one forever.
Napping Day is always a favorite here! Love your Wall of Fame!
We also enjoy napping. Our motivation center, aka home office, is something we all love too.
WOW! Sleeping with the “stars” quite an assortment of ribbon stars you have accumulated!!
There is more on the rest of the walls but that one is the big wall. It started small with no idea where it would go and we just love it. We are happy to see the things we have done.
Naps are healthy, as long as we people don’t nap so long we can’t sleep at night. Lie down and be counted!
Or if you are gramma you nap for a few hours, get up, eat something and then go back to bed some days.
