We solved our mystery of the rodent and all the highway signs about a place with a giant rodent called Buc-ees. Back in 2021 when Madison and I did our Florida trip we noticed Buc-ees signs and had no idea what it was. Then we heard about it and wished we had checked one out. Well, on our way to Perry, we found one and checked it out.
It turns our the rodent is actually a beaver and is named that because the owner of this empire was nicknamed beaver by his mom as a boy. Mom was in about ten percent of the store and said she could probably spend the whole day in the place. Of course, there is a ton of merchandise with the mascot if you want a shirt, mug, hat, just about anything including breath mints. We are questioning beaver breath mints but people by them. The stuffies sure look cute! They sell gas and have probably some forty pumps and the cheapest price around.
Since we are not allowed in the store, Buc-ee came outside and let us pose with him. He held our leashes while Mom snapped our fan photo. I think Mom will stop at these in the future now that we know a bit more about them. Thankfully the mystery since 2021 about what Buc-ees is has been solved. How about you, have you ever been to a Buc-ees?

We’ve never heard of Buc-ees but it looks like a fun store and what a cute truck!
In the south it is everywhere on billboards and always has had us curious. Now we know Mom loves the place!
ooh that little beavers… that is the literally truck load… no wonder that dogs are not allowed … we would start a truck hunt… and how cool that a beaver walked you ;O)))
He is a very nice and wealthy beaver! It is a pretty amazing place.
So, did your Mom get you one of those toys to play with?
No, we don’t play much with anything but our Furballz.
YAYAYAY!! We are so glad you got to meet Buc-ee…isn’t he a cool guy?!
xoxo,
Rosy & Sunny
He is super cool and Mom loves the entire place!
What fun place for Mom and great photos of you two with ‘BuCee’ ~ Hugs ^_^

It is definitely a place worth visiting at least once.
Buc-ee’s has been moving into the south over the last few years. That beaver must be really good at cutting down trees for the stores to be built. The closest one to us is about 25 miles. I’m thinking it might be a good day trip in the hot hazy days of summer

PS I loved your photo
Mom wants to go to one again one day when she can spend more time in the store as she said it was big and had so much stuff she needs a lot of time to check it out.
Not on the east coast. I have to look for then when I travel.
The billboards are sometimes over 100 miles away but the stores are in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, and South Carolina.
Buc-ee’s sure is a big place but it would be a lot better if you were permitted to go inside! Thanks for joining Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
We are always so frustrated at the no dog thing but lots of people don’t have well mannered dogs so we get it.
We have heard of Buc-ees but have never been to one. So glad you found one and visited!!! Looks like fun. your friend Chester
Mom loved it but only saw a small portion of it. One day we will visit again.
We’re nowhere near one but I sure would love to visit! I’ve always thought the mascot was so adorable. I would definitely have bought a plush!
Mom loves the beaver too and she said there were so many things she wanted in the small part of the store she saw, she could not buy anything.
We love Buc-ee’s! Clean rest rooms! Beaver nuggets! It’s a fun place and they were going to build one here but changed their minds and went “up the road a piece.”
It was our first one and it was a winner. We will find another one some day.
There’s nothing quite like a Buc-ees. I’d never experienced one until I went to Texas a few years ago and now there’s one in Northern Colorado. The number of gasoline bays is staggered as is the wall of jerky inside. It’s a whole other world of unbelievable!
Mom definitely will stop again as she wants to spend more time in the store to see it all. It was hot and she didn’t want to leave us in the car more than ten minutes. She always sets a timer so she can’t forget.
Buc-ees is the best! Glad you stopped!
Mom loved it but only for ten minutes. We will go again sometime when it isn’t so warm out.
